Early Sept or Late Jan?

Im kind of stuck with these two options... September of 2017 or January of 2018?
I'm torn, considering they're both not ideal times

Both months have their advantages. My choice would be January, to get a brief respite away from the winter and be able to bask in the FL sun while everyone home is dealing with ice & snow.
September probably would be a lower crowd month and the weather would be hitting mid to high 80s.

I know some base their time to go on what discounts come out during that time frame. September will still be quite warm but I have been in January and have had both ends of the weather spectrum. (Incredibly hot and cold enough for a winter jacket) You can always book September and if things don't go as planned, push it back to January. I have clients that will do this and make payments on their trip so that if they do have to push it back, most of the trip is paid already.

Good luck in your choice

I picked early September of this year as it had free dining and it worked with my schedule. I work for a university and the kiddos are all settled in by that time.

Weather wise, January is better. Temperatures are usually upper 60s to low 70s. We've gone MLK weekend for the past 4 years. It can be chilly, but if it's a sunny day, we've gotten away with shorts, t shirts and flip flops. We live in Florida, so the cooler weather is a blessing. Just make sure to being a jacket, pair of long pants, long sleeve shirt or you will need to do some unplanned Disney shopping if a cold front comes through.

Depending on exactly when you go in each month can affect what you see. If it's early enough in January you may still catch the Christmas decorations, although I don't know exactly when they come down. In September, if it's late enough, you can catch the beginning of the Food and Wine festival. My best advice would be to go in January and September, that way you can decide for yourself which is better. :)

Changed it and just booked late August :)
Have fun! Be prepared, it'll be HOT! Like, reaching into the 90's and 100's. The heat, added with the crazy humidity makes any place without air conditioning pretty hard to bear. :p
Thanks for all your insight! I'm leaning towards end of Jan but afraid it will be too cold!
Yeah, I don't think January will be too cold at all. I mean, it's Florida. When we were there in February, there was a freak cold spike at around 40-50 degrees for a day or two, but it stayed in the 50's and 60's for most of the time. Personally, I'd rather slightly chilly weather as opposed to extreme heat.

But, the upside to August is that less attractions will be closed for refurbishment.

I have family in Palm Beach and have visited them early Sept, so I know that feeling. Hopefully it's bearable when we go!

I think you made the better choice. January will be low crowd levels but sometimes a lot of the popular rides can close down for refurbishments.
