Someone posted DS area boat transport is down due to water levels and could be a couple weeks. Can anyone confirm?

I’m obviously the one who posted but I’ll clarify in the mean time while you wait for confirmation:
Saratoga Springs to Disney Springs is closed due to low water levels.
The Boat that took you around the three Disney Springs docks is closed indefinitely (never reopened after Covid).
Open routes:
Old Key West to Disney Springs:
No ECVs allowed, due to low water levels (from observation, the ramp that connected the sidewalk by the pool gate to the boat dock is tilted because the dock is sitting on the mud instead of floating).
Port Orleans (Riverside and French Quarter) to Disney Springs:
Haven’t been over there since they installed the “No ECV” sign at OKW, but they may or may not allow ECVs.
Saratoga Springs is connected to Disney Springs through the pedestrian bridge with the main boat dock. In addition, there are also busses from Saratoga Springs to Disney Springs if walking is not an option.
Side note: While the OKW boat dock IS open (and the bus line to Disney Springs), you can also walk from OKW to DS. There is a nature trail along the side of the golf course you can walk along from dawn to dusk.

After the parks reopened, the boats that took you around Disney Springs never came back. They reopened the resort ferries to Disney Springs, but never the loop that took you around the three boat docks. They shut down the parks in March, so right after you visited…

Gotcha, I didn't use the resort ones it was the Springs Water Taxi's that stopped at the 3 docking locations..
Okay, we had planned a day at DS with dinner at Boatwrights and in a little under 2 weeks. I'll probably plan extra time in case we have to skip a boat.

I visited Disney Springs today, and, sadly, all of the ferries are now closed. The cast member at the loading dock I spoke to said it was due to the boats not having enough underwater clearance due to the extremely low water levels.

I believe that the constant loss of water at the leaky dam by OKW is part of it. Orlando tends to get much more rain than Disney World gets, and such is true so far in this year. I think the combination of the constant loss of water coupled with the lack of many significant enough of rainstorms to refill in the canals have caused it to drop to inoperable levels.
I did not inquire on why the water level was so low when I spoke to the cast member.

Thanks, having lived there I know the rainy season is just getting cranked up. One good storm can drop 5 inches once it kicks off and a week may bring 10. This shouldn't last long if the control gates can hold it in.

For sure. It’s also hard because a storm needs to drop enough rain that not all the rain gets immediately absorbed, and the rain is able to make it to the canal and lake. Interestingly, the number of ”true” rainstorms so far this year could be counted on one hand.

Interesting, for the last two years we have been there in Jan/Feb time frame and the Springs Water Taxis were not open going to the 3 docking locations. The only location that was open was the one coming from and going to OKW, PO or SS. I really wish they would
re-open the DSWT. It would be so much nicer to take a water taxi after a long day rather than walking to the other side of DS to get the bus.

Yea, it would be nice if they would return. After the Covid closures they haven’t reopened.

During slower times it would just go from west side to the marketplace..I guess during the busier hours around the dinner rush they use The Landing dock to help with crowds..
I would presume no or lack of rain this year. We are way down in the rain dept this year.
