Driving Northbound from WDW toward Daytona Beach on a Friday evening

In leaving WDW to drive northbound from WDW toward Daytona Beach on a Friday evening, how would you go?

I realize the direct route is I-4 but I'm thinking congestion, traffic, etc.

As near as I can tell there are three choices:
1. I-4 Northbound
2. SR-429/SR 414 (tolls) reconnecting with I-4.
3, SR 417 (tolls) reconnecting with I-4

As a matter of fact, I'm driving to DeLand. I thought it would be one of those three either through or around Orlando but ending on I-4 regardless before the exit to DeLand. I just changed the destination to DeLand instead of Daytona Beach. It routes me SR 429 to SR 414 to CR 437 to SR 44 which becomes New York Avenue in DeLand.

Never thought about that route.

we split our stays in February between wdw and Daytona for the Daytona 500 each year and generally leave wdw in the mornings heading out on the I-4, its usually plain sailing once youre past the amway centre at a guess id say it would probably be similar story at evening too
