Double Family members on MYW website

I logged on to My Disney Experience tonight to double check some things and see about tweeking FP's and dining (ok and to look for 7DMT). I have always had a double set of my family...two husbands, four daughters and two nieces on the website. I called Disney tonight because all of a sudden my husband had no ticket. The first CM was rather nice and transferred me to Disney Internet services. I spent over an hour on and off hold. The CM discovered every person had tickets linked to them...but all the tickets were different. Our hotel reservations were linked to one set of 'family' and our dining reservations were linked to another...yet somehow ALL of these had been linked to the Magic Bands. After an hour of being on and off hold, talking weather, snow days and the last day of school the Internet Specialist confirmed...she could not delete any of the members listed because they all had some type of ticket linked to them. She did manage to transfer things around....she hopes (and so do I). She was very sorry and said this isn't the first time for this type of thing to happen. BUT if she did everything she thought she did...hopefully one 'Family" has the correct tickets, FPS and dining linked to them....while the phantom family has the phantom tickets and experiences linked to them. SOOOO...I hope the FP+s that I have made are all linked to the correct tickets and those are linked to the magic bands. But I guess we won't know for sure until our first day in the parks. I guess the positive to this ....I know a visit to Guest Services might be in my future. lol

I hope everything goes smoothly when you get there!

I know it was a pain in the neck to talk on the phone for so long on Saturday, but do you think calling back and talking to another Internet Specialist might at least minimize the time needed at Guest Services when you get there?

This happened to me as well. All of mine (the MDE account holder) were fine. However, the other person's on my account were split. I think when I made the resort reservation, it made me "create" a new person. So, he already had one name with his AP MagicBand and a previous trip's MagicBand. When I made resort reservations for an upcoming trip (it's a split stay) all three of his new bands were put under a new name, with no ticket attached.

After about an hour and half on the phone with the Disney internet people, they were able to make a ghost person for the three new MagicBands (that I had just received). She had to send me three additional new MagicBands, that were all sent separately in three new boxes. She was able to keep all the existing FP+ in tact, but honestly, I think I had put all of those on the name with the AP ticket. (In two weeks, I received seven boxes containing MagicBands.)

On my MDE now, there are still three names.. Mine and the other person's with the correct MagicBands attached and another one that says "DO NOT USE".

When I posted this question a few weeks ago, someone suggested that everyone should have their own MDE accounts FIRST and then either link or manage them or something. This probably would have been a better idea if I had thought about it a long time ago.

Thanks for the info. I am going to call back and try again...who knows maybe another specialist can figure things out more than the first person I talked to. This IT person did make it sound like the first bands were already sent and new ones would be coming....we are driving...so I guess if they all arrive close to each other and I can't figure out what is what I'll just take everything and sort it out when we arrive. BUT I'd rather have it in order before hand.

I think the mistake was made at booking...because they had my husband and my girls in the system with totally wrong ages....they had my husband down as 18! uh...not for 20 years. lol. The girls ages were also off by about 4 years each. So that CM corrected them...I wonder if she didn't 'correct' them but 'recreated' them? no idea..just a guess because I have no idea how we ended up with all these people on the accounts except for me...there is only one of me....lol
