If you were taking someone (an adult) on their first trip to WDW, what would you be sure NOT to miss...including all parks, resorts, etc...?

an ADULT....

That depends on your definition of adult..since when most people go thru the gates of WDW...they became 12 years old all over again (not a bad thing)

stop being nitpicky....i meant an Adult chronologically, but as all people who enter disney, a kid at heart...i just added the adult part to include things like pleasure island and give you a better frame of reference. :p

Oh..so you mean someone still young enough to ride ANYTHING but not so young where they would enjoy..say..its a small world..

gotcha ;)

I would say definatly check out the California Grill (since as an adult..you can AFFORD it)

As for rides...things an adult enjoy more....TTA, ToT, RnR, TT, the mountains, Timekeeper (if it were still around), World showcase..

Resorts...id say anything except the all stars..since those are "cheaper" and usually littered with more kids than the others...

yeah, well...California Grill is a definite (already have priority seating times) and we're staying at the Contemporary Tower (couldn't miss the monorails going right through the building to turn an "adult" into a "kid").

Let me rephrase the question...what would you not want to miss if it was YOUR first time going to disney?

Aside from what i already mentioned...things to make any "first time adult" fall in love with WDW....

Get seating in the front of the monorail (you dont have to be a kid...just ask)

Depending on how long you are there for..eating at all the countries of World showcase..one at a time...since they are very "adult" and would be a nice thing to experience that i know a kid wouldnt appreciate.

You guys out there can still ride in the front of you`re monorail??:(

We cannot do that here in Calif. Ever since Sept 11
They wont let passengers ride in the front of the Monorails
Security reasons..

even after september 11, we rode in the front of the monorail twice. however, we rode with fellow CPs, so maybe they have different rules now in place. don't know for sure.

Now this is probably going to sound silly, but of all the fun shows and rides, I will never forget the first time I saw Fantasy in the Sky and saw Tink fly out from the Castle and spread pixie dust on the crowd below. I had not heard about this in advance and it was unbelievable to me. (Told you it was silly) But anyway that's what I would want them to see at the end of a day in MK!

This one is simple for me to answer.....
Reflections Of Earth:sohappy: This show appeals to everybody but I think the older group gets the most out of it. To a child, it is a spectacle of fireworks, fire, lasers, etc. But for an adult, it is all of that and sooooo much more. I remember the first time I saw it, I was so incredibly moved by what was being displayed. Also, the music has so much meaning. (Especially at a time like this) This is by far my favorite thing to see and do at WDW. I cannot wait until we bring friends/family down with us to see this awesome show. My only hope is that they don't cut it soon!

I would not want to miss Test Track and Tower of Terror. One of a kind attractions, my two favorite. And of course, don't miss visiting Epcot, it's a great park.

I would most definalty try to go eat at Cindy's Castle, and Chef Mickeys. As for the resorts, I would go with anything but the all-stars. They are big, and usually have tons of people.

I agree with three things that I would not miss:
- Illuminations RoE
- Cirque du Soleil
- Fantasmic

If it is a first time, no matter what you see, it will still be a lot and very impressive!

Of course, the icons: SE, ITTBAB, GMR, KS, etc... and depending on the age and preferences of the adult, the rollercoasters and fast rides.

:)

A Disney virgin!

Well, here are a few of my faves, not to miss!

Haunted Mansion
Pirates of the Carribean
Buzz Lightyear
Muppet Vision 3D
Soaceship Earth
Great Movie Ride

As for meals:
Tony's Town Square (MK)
Japan (the dining rooms) (Epcot)
Canada (Epcot)
Rainforest Cafe (AK)

And if you have time, head over to the Poly to the Kona Cafe for Tonga Toast for breakfast! (Banana stuffed french toast!) YUMMY!
