Done with French Quarter after 8 stays

POFQ is WDW best resort....no issues form us. We love it.

No complaints from us about POFQ. We just did a 8 day stay early May arrived on a Sunday at 11:00am room was ready, food prices were reasonable and the CM were very helpful. Pool area was covered with life guards never had to worry about the granddaughters swimming. Will be returning in the future

We’re also pretty much in the Value/Deluxe camp. It takes a really good deal on a Moderate for me to pull the trigger on one. Part of the kitsch at the values to me is Disney. We love Pop Century. We also love the Poly and AKL. Doing WL for our anniversary this September. It was between that and Pop.

Interesting. We find no value in the MK/Epcot deluxes, so our sweet spot is AKL, WL, OKW, SSR, or any moderate. We'd stay off property before a value other than AoA, and even then only if we're traveling with a group that really wants a family suite.

OP, definitely express your disappointment to Guest Relations. Get it on record that you're not happy with the service you received at POFQ. Maybe you'll get some pixie dust in your file for your next trip.

its a short walk to the port orleans restaurant... I will always stay at port orleans though

We stay at POFQ more than any other resort and have never had a problem. We did CBR last trip and it was nice but large. The only problem we had was a trainee bus driver who missed turns and got in wrong lanes. That trip took twice as long as most. We mentioned it when asked about our day and was promptly given complementary fast passes to make up for it. This trip we are trying AoA.

We have stayed at POFQ multiple times and will be returning again in 2020. Weve always had great CM attention and responses to any inquiries or issues weve brought to them to address. On our last trip we also got notification of refurbishment of the building we had wanted to stay in, and had to be placed in another building. No problem. You work around such things. The food court was finished its refurb by that time and although the decor was changed there was no alteration to the size of the space. We walk to PORS at times anyway for the different variety of menu items. Its not a long or burdensome walk. Using the DDP, Ive found you do need to keep a careful eye on the credits used because sometimes mistakes are made but they are easily fixed. Sorry the OP feels the need to abandon POFQ because of some minor glitches that came about, because its still a wonderful site to stay. We will continue to book it and enjoy all it offers.
