 Hello everyone. We got the 7 for 5 deal !!! We are going to be staying at POR in Sep. Can't wait. Our first time. We will be taking a few tours, but I really would like to do the Dolphins in depth tour. Where you can get in the tank with the dolphins! Has anyone done this? It cost's $150. It has kindda been a dream of mine to be that close to one. Any info at all would be helpful. Thank's. :D

 My husband and I did this tour on our Honeymoon. I have always wanted to swim with the Dolphins Sea World also has a program similar to this but cost double what Disney charges so it was out of my budget, because it would have costed us over $300 for both of us at Sea World. Disney give you a Educational lesson on the Dolphins and everything about them. Then you get on your Wet Suit and get in the tank with the Dolphins. I have got to say that it was the best expierence of my Honeymoon. The money was well worth it and the money helps fund the Wildlife Conservation Fund. You can read more info on this expierence at the official disney world website. Do the tour and enjoy it, you will absolutely love it. We thouroughly enjoyed this tour.

I did it spring 2003 and absolutely loved it! I'm a big dolphin freak so it was only natural that I'd want to do it. ;) You spend a lot of time backstage at The Living Seas learning about their research and such, but of course the in-water was the best part. I'd guess we spennt 20-30 min in the water with a dolphin. we gave signals, got splashed, and got a photo posing with one of the dolphins. You can't take photos of your own since it is a backstage area, but they do take a photo of you with a dolphin, included in the cost. You also get a Dolphins in Depth t-shirt. :) Overall, I liked Disney's program better than SeaWorld's. At Disney, they put more emphasis on the research and conservation aspect, whereas SeaWorld spends a lot more of their classroom time spitting out basic info about stuff like dolphin anatomy and how to act around them.

I'd give this one a reccommendation, yup! :)
