We are skipping our normal trip to my Dad's / WDW during actual Christmas, and instead the 3 of us are heading up to Dollywood to check out all the festivities. We are staying in Gatlinburg 12/5-12/8. Then 3 nights at HeartSong Lodge. Our Dollywood days will be 12/9 & 10.
Just wondering if anyone has any experience visiting during the holidays and has tips & recommendations not only for Dollywood but also the surrounding area. We will miss the Christmas parades (waited a touch to long to book and had to get hotels when we could), but anything else Christmas-themed wise that we shouldn't miss.
