Feeling pretty good. DH ended up staying home today so we may go to lunch. :)

That will be really nice!!!

How much longer does he have to go to Boston during the week? Is this something that he only has to do for a certain amount of time? Basically I'm asking if he has a set end date?

Well this is his "off" travel week so that's nice. He's supposed to get 1 per month but lately they've been needing him more so his off weeks have been decreasing a bit. I mean at this point there really is no end date. It's just his current position. Originally he'd planned to do it until right before I was due and then try and transfer so he didn't risk being out of town when I go into labor and because he doesn't want to be traveling once the baby's here. But now w/ the economy and all the layoffs (none at his company YET) we hate to do anything to rock the boat, especially if I end up not going back to work. We would be in BIG BIG trouble if he lost his job. So now I'm not sure where it stands. Although, they do seem to redistribute people fairly regularly there so he may get moved to a new group soon anyway.

So you're officially full term!! Woot!!!

When I got my massage last week I made sure to ask where the pressure points are that can induce labor. He told me the big toe. I'm pretty sure that nothing will happen unless your body is ready, but I think I'll be holding onto my big toe as often as possible.

It's nice that you guys get to spend some time together now. It suddenly hit me that we don't have to much longer of just the two of us.

Can he suggest to his boss that he would be open to a transfer or would that not be a good idea?

Big Toe? That seems so random as a pressure point to induce labor.

I thought I read that it was someplace on the ankle. There's one other spot somewhere on your back too, I heard. I was a little nervous the other day when I got my pedicure cuz they do a mini foot massage.

I know, we've been trying to spend more time actually doing things together for that reason. Especially since we're really still newlyweds! Good thing we had 2 1/2 years of living together before the wedding!

Yeah I think he's going to mention it to his boss soon. Only thing is that there's a guy on his team whose wife just had a baby and he still goes like normal. So he doesn't want to seem less committed. I told him if he had to keep doing it for awhile it wouldn't be the worse thing. And, heck, the baby and I could go w/ him every once in awhile too. I love tooling around Boston and staying in a nice hotel! :king: And like I said, they move people around so often anyway. This is his 2nd transfer in about 2 years or less.

I asked him about the massage during a pedicure and he said that most places will do something very light if they know you are pregnant because they know that they need to avoid certain areas but aren't really trained to know exactly where the areas are. I need to go get a pedicure, and I'm pretty sure that they nothing about it at the place that I go....they can barely speak english there.:lookaroun I don't think that many of those home induction techniques will work unless your body is ready.

The other guy with the new baby would make it hard. I'm sure everyone is concerned about job safety with the economy. If he ends up still having to travel, it would be nice to have some little get aways.
