There still not offering discounts though. Unless I missed something which is entirely possible I’ve haven’t been paying attention, but aren’t they just offering iAP rates to Sept 30.On the resort side of things, I recently got a 'flash sale' promo email from a DVC rental service I've subscribed to in the past. They usually say something along the lines of, "We have these couple of rooms available (minor discount). Act fast! These will be gone soon!" And usually they are gone within an hour or so.
This time the promo reads this way: "THERE ARE A TON OF RESORTS AVAILABLE".Then they list a number or DVC resorts and say either "most dates in sep and oct" or "every night in (name of month)". After listing several locations they self-truncate the list with "the list goes on...."
That's how empty the resorts are.
Not sure how long it's sustainable to operate under such conditions.
346 tests have been run since 7/13 that wont skew the results In any significant way at allTherefore making the %positive lower and making them look better by skewing data, who’s shocked by this?
I know I’m not.

I wouldn’t pay rack rate if there was no Covid and the economy was roaring.
Most of their cash resorts are still closed. In fact very very few cash rooms are actually open. And they are offering discounts for Florida residents and cast membersWhether or not the cash resorts are doing the business Disney wants at this time, I don’t know. They don’t seem to be interested in offering discounts to encourage people, though.
My point isn't that Disney is losing money on those DVC rooms. I understand the money goes to the owners. My point is that rooms aren't even filling up at a steep discount. That doesn't bode well for the regular hotel rooms Disney does operate and charge customers directly to use. That’s not a problem for Disney. That’s a problem for DVC owners. Disney is still getting their money off the membership dues, which cover the operation of those resorts. DVC owners who want to rent out their points before they die (the points, not the owners) are up against a wall.
It should also be noted that brokers aren’t dropping the rental price and it’s now significantly riskier to book a DVC reservation with uncertain refund policies. I’m also reading reports elsewhere that the rental market is collapsing with owners getting $10 - $12 a point now when they were getting $18 and above on their own without going through a broker. I personally would only rent a DVC reservation I knew was 100% refundable.

Additionally, this is not a good look for DVC in the long run. That does have a direct effect on Disney's bottom line.
Wow great price, but I doubt many people would now about that. Most people price it out on Disney website or go through a TA.The DVC resellers are. 20% across the board and deeper discounts on specific DVC resorts on select nights. Old Key West had $165 a night.
I know from another board that most people would rather have two beds. I’ve never booked a villa because of the bed situation. My son has no choice this time. He has to make due on a sofa bed. Like I said in my previous post I don’t think a lot of people would know where to find that discount. I wouldn’t and I’ve been several times and frequent more than one disney board. My point isn't that Disney is losing money on those DVC rooms. I understand the money goes to the owners. Well that is a 180˚ turnThose are some good trends. Let's hope they continue!

Zero players test positive for Covid-19 in latest round of testing
Since July 13, no new positive tests have popped up out of 346 players who were tested.www.google.com
That number appears to be just for NBA "Players". It doesn't appear to include MLS or any supporting staff for the bubble.
You would think. In what sense? Of course falling numbers of deaths are good news.
