Hello guys. My name is austin. Ive read a ton of forums and it seems alot of answers vary so i thought it was worth a shot to ask myself.
for starters my previous employment was at disneyland resort but i have always since a kid dreamed of moving and working in the orlando parks. And you guys seem to be a bit more direct ( which i prefer ) and knowledgeable.
It had been my dream to be a disney imagineer ever since i can remember so naturally i applied to every position to get my foot in the door soon before i turned 18.
on my birthday i started as a host for fine dining. Worked there roughly 9 months and it was a dream come true everyday. I gave it my best never had any issues or warnings, write ups anything. Then one day i get escorted off property only to find out a week later i was being fired with no rehire status for saying “sexually harassing comments to a coworker” which i know is a huge deal i tried to fight it because its not who i am and i was in a happy relationship! But my union did nothing. I have now served 3 honorable years in the US NAVY which is humongous on sexual harassment and i never had issues, and i am now 1 year into construction ( unimportant but i feel it shows i can hold a job and am dedicated) But the truth is every night i lay awake at just empty and disheartened that my whole life i worked for one dream and it was swept from under me.... i really doubt employment is an option again but i could really use some outsourced opinions. Ive tried other amusement parks and a wide variety of other jobs but its just my heart has always been set on creating that magic you can only find one place.
