Disney's Streaming Services: Disney+ (and Hulu, ESPN+, Star, & hotstar)

Because they want people to sign up for both Hulu and Disney Plus. Hulu is to complete with Netflix and Disney Plus is the family service for everyone.

As mentioned Disney wants to give the consumer a la carte options. There's a couple of ways to fully integrate the apps and the more likely one is to use Hulu as the gateway where Disney+ and ESPN+ can be fully integrated. They should continue having Hulu as the gateway for more add ons (like they have for HBO right now).
You'd pretty much open the app within the app. You can have an extra tile for Disney+ and ESPN+ and have it in such a way that it's quickly loaded and it would look almost like a single app where you load it from Hulu, but your kids could just have Disney+ on their devices.
Thing is it will take years to get it all on the same tech, ubiquitous interface, and so on.

Just saw the Mandalorian on a TV commercial. Got excited then saw it was the new streaming service. Another thing I won't get to see, but oh well.

That's my question as well. Simpsons doesn't fit into any of their listed categories but will be on the service. I feel like they'll have a 20th Century Fox section on Disney+ for the family fare from that studio and include Simpsons and apparently Avatar and whatever else they feel works. They can put the Blue Sky stuff in that category too (did we ever learn if Blue Sky is going on Disney+ or Hulu?)
Is there non-Fox stuff that will be on D+ that doesn't fit anywhere else?

Wait and get Disney+ for the month of December. The $6.99 is cheaper than going to the movies.

I live in the country. Last time I tried to stream anything it didnt work out. Just dont have the internet speed out here. I just have to go through the channels and find something to watch or sometimes we download to the DVR.

I saw on the site the shall not be named that Disney+ will be featuring advertisements for Starz, in exchange for Disney gaining some of their library back, non-exclusively. The advertisements won't be invasive, but this does mean that service won't be entirely ad-free.

“As part of a broader effort to reclaim rights to a range of content, Disney and Starz reached an agreement that returned the Star Wars streaming rights to Disney in time for the launch of Disney+. In exchange, Disney has conceded to allow promotions for the Starz streaming service to appear at the end of the registration process for certain new subscribers.”
“The Starz promotion on the otherwise ad-free service will not appear across all connected devices, a person familiar with the arrangement told Deadline. It will pop up for anyone signing up through the Disney+ Android app or through Disney’s website, not the full range of devices that propel the new service. ESPN+ will also host the promo. It was described by the source as a “one-time arrangement” and not a sign of brand messages invading subscription turf.”

You can download stuff from Disney+. It might take a while, but it should work.
Buy a tablet and download somewhere where you can get high speed internet. Once its on your tablet, you should be able to stream it to your smart TV.
