"Deadline has learned that David Gordon Green is set to direct a movie at Disney Studios for Disney+ about Walt Disney’s journey to building Disneyland, the “Happiest Place on Earth.”
The news comes days before Gordon’s Halloween Kills opens, the sequel to the highest-grossing Halloween movie of all time It was released in 2018 and racked up $255.6 million.
Evan Spiliotopoulos, who has a history writing on such Disney projects as The Jungle Book 2, Pooh’s Heffalump Movie, Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure and the $1.26 billion-grossing live-action reboot of Beauty and the Beast, is set to write. Cavalry Media spent a year developing the pitch before bringing it to Disney."

Fantastic. I know people here seem to hate Josh Gad for some reason, but I think he's hysterical. Olaf recapping the plot of Frozen is one of the highlights of Frozen 2 and it cracks me up every single time.

Disney has unveiled a slate of 20 new Asian films and TV series as it prepares further expansion of the Disney Plus streaming service.
Smart. The success of Squid Game on Netflix has shown that content created with a foreign market in mind can also cross over into mainstream success.
Well, that was Disney's plan all along. In order to saturate the world wide streaming market, Disney had to start making localized shows in the market they're in. Sometimes it's required by the country they operate in.
What's surprising is that Disney hasn't done what Netflix has done, namely, to make its foreign content available in other markets, whether dubbed or subtitled. E.g., we haven't seen any of the Indian shows of hotstar show up on D+/Star/Hulu.

My guess is that Animes and Doramas are very popular outside Asia.

My guess is that Animes and Doramas are very popular outside Asia.
If that regional content was going worldwide, I would think Disney would be more explicit about that.
