Falcon & The Winter Soldier is the program I am most looking forward to on Disney+. At least I'll have The Mandalorian to watch when Disney+ launches in a couple of months here...

So what's with them taking things off already. Was watching all the pirate movies and went to watch on strange tides and suddenly it's gone. Apparently so is home alone 1 & 2 and Mickey's three musketeers. It's not going to look good for them if they start stripping away content when the service has only been around a few months.
Most likely a technical issue with the movies somewhere that seems to be why films get taken off. Someone likely reported an issue with playback and their looking into it. The same thing happened with a Garfield movie a while back.

Another securities analyst, Rosenblatt Securities. reports Disney Plus is doing better than expected. They now predict Disney Plus will have 39 million US customers by the end of 2020. Remember, this is just the US customers not the worldwide number. So, who does not think Disney Plus will not have 90 million worldwide customers by the end of 2021?
Plus add on Hulu, ESPN and Hotstar and can anyone actually believe any other streaming service provider will actually have more worldwide customers? Disney should also be the largest streaming company based on revenues. All this does not even take into account Hulu's future international rollout and growth. It is totally shocking that Wall Street Analysts completely ignore Hulu and Hotstar when analyzing Netflix vs Disney Plus because that is not the real competition, it's Netflix versus all of Disney's streaming services and Disney will win.

Have we had any movement on the international roll out on Hulu?
No announcement yet, but they are clearly working on it as the change their contracts with other international distributors, streaming, satellite and cable. I would expect some announcement in the second half of 2020, either at the same time Hotstar starts offering Disney Plus or shortly thereafter. I also expect Hulu to eventually compete directly with Star for complete live tv streaming packages via the internet.
Thanks to the Fox International Assets and Disney's own European history, they have all they need to be the largest and most successful streaming company in the world. The only continent they need to work on is Africa. They will crush Netflix in Asia. They will be number 1 or 2 in Central America and South America. While in Europe they will be a very strong competitor about equal to Netfix, Star and others. Bottom line is Disney will be the first company to reach 1 billion worldwide streaming customers. they are over 1/3 of the way there today.
I'd like to compare net revenues. Both D+ and Netflix are spending huge wads of cash on new content.
A streamer making a modest profit could be doing financially better than either D+ or Nx.

Yeah, but it's like the Amazon model... do the land grab, then choke out any competition through easy, access, and breadth of product. Disney/Fox is gonna be able to say 'We have 90% of what you want...' while everyone else is gonna struggle to articulate why you should buy 5-7 different services to get what you are after.
They will bully based on their content library and exclusivity...
That is why Hulu's revenue per customer being over $13.00 a month per subscriber is so important. Netflix plans on offering a $2.00 a month plan in India with no commercials. That will actually result in lower revenue that Hotstar gets for their free service because of commercials.
Hulu will end 2019 with over 30 million customers. That results in annual revenue in excess of $4.68 billion. ($13.00X12X30,000,000) Disney Plus with 30 million customers paying an average of $5.00 a month brings in another $1.8 billion. Those are just from the US and are lower than what they will actually receive from US customers when the year is finished.

Not really caring anything about the numbers and business aspect of the offering sooooooo - does anyone have an idea of what the long term release schedule looks like? IOW, when do I get to see more of the serialized content that was WWOC? Not just to relive my 50s/60s childhood but to see something besides a freakin' MCU or gold/silver age movie.
Yeah, I know they have Living Desert. So why can't we have all of the True Life Adventure series? And this is just one example.

So I’ve been enjoying Encore! on Disney+ (the show where adults perform their high school musical again decades later). As someone jumping into theatre again, it’s fun to watch others have a similar, more personal experience. I hope a second season will be produced.
I would love it if Disney put more filmed versions of their musicals on the service. Newsies is there, but it’d be cool to see Mary Poppins, Tarzan, and Hunchback (I hope Disney has a professional quality video of that one).

I was read the following story. I had originally thought Verizon would be paing Disney $4.00 a month per free Disney Plus subscriber, but it actually looks like the cost is a few cents more. $49.99 a year or $1.99 a year more. It may not sound like much, but with over 7 million customers it adds $14 million a year, and more if the Verizon statement of better than expected signups.

A spokesperson for the telecommunications company confirmed some customers are noticing a minor glitch.
"We've identified a billing error where some wireless customers may see a line item for Media & Apps reflected on their bill," David Weissmann, a Verizon spokesperson, said. "This amount is not being charged to the customer’s bill total. No customer action is needed; we are working to remove the incorrect line item."

This person was billed $113.35 for three separate charges, but the total due only reflects the first two charges ($3.35 + $110.00) not the last one for "media and apps," ($49.99).
It’s a glitch, a phantom charge you didn’t actually pay for, but it also shouldn’t be there.
Weissman said the error isn't appearing on all customers' bills, or for all customers with Disney+.
So yes, we can Verify some Verizon customers did see a mistake on their bill.
