My mom and I drove by there a couple of days ago. All we can really say about it is  It looks terrible! We almost needed sunglasses just to look at the place! It looked like a bunch of ideas were just thrown together at the last minute. My mom pointed out that people who want to save money would be crazy to want to stay there. At least the All Star resorts look halfway decent!

It always strikes me as funny when Disney advertises the free use of their transportation as a perk of staying on property. Anybody can use their transportation for free! It's on the back cover.

I hate to say it, but I think all of the value resorts look cheap and tacky. But then again, I guess thats why they are value resorts. But it doesn't matter because your there for the Disney experience not the look of your hotel.

I agree with WDW-I. I am sure that Disney could build a value resort where you didn't feel like you were living in Land Of The Giants! BUT, having never stayed at a value resort I cannot possibly comment on the quility of these places. I am sure they are great (simply because they are Disney). All I will say is that if they were to build any more, I would hope they would move away from the "Overly bright, and oversized" theme they seem to have at the moment.

It's hard to believe, but Carribean Beach, Dixie Landings, & Port Orleans were all value resorts when they opened. I guess construction costs are just too high to do a well designed resort & still keep the price reasonable.

in defense of Disney's value resorts:

i've stayed at both all-star music and sports several times and both are great hotels and blow the roof off of any other type of 'value' accommodations ('motel six' and the like)

they're very clean, as well as excellently decorated and themed - and are really a great place to stay for families on a budget.

Disney suggests the value resorts for "Families, inexperienced travelers, budget-conscious, theme park focused, 'need a place to sleep' types"

what makes them 'value' resorts is you don't have alot (or any really) of the ammenities as the other resorts such as - waterslides, more on-site recreation, sit-down restaurants and that type of thing...

i'm sure pop century will turn out to be a great addition to the value resorts (once it's finally finished)
