It was reported by Motley Fool that the first After Hours night didn't go as well as Disney may have hoped with only 1,000 in attendance! Who in their right mind would pay $149 for 3 hours of Magic Kingdom time? Most of the Disney fans want to send a message that the rising costs and the poor quality is not happening with its guests! BUT...it was also reported that those 1,000 tickets were freebies given to travel agents, DVC members...so they really didn't make a dime on the first night in this case! But I guess they are expecting word of mouth advertising to help considerably!?

When I first read about this, I thought I would, but when I read you have to have park admission PLUS the $149 after hours price then I said forget it!

EDIT: My mistake guys, I thought I heard that you had to purchase a 1 day ticket, PLUS $149 After Hours Tickets as well! MY BAD! So that being said, if you go at 7pm and stay until 2am, that's not a bad deal...but still wouldn't buy it until the QUALITY of the parks are dealt with. I know a lot of us on the board feels similar! I am planning 2018 trip and that will be quits for me!

Before this gets locked, only a 1000 is pretty good. I'd love to be in MK with only that many peolple, however I'm not paying them more of my hard earned cash. I worked my day off yesterday to help pay for my June 2017 cruise. The money they want is not commensurate with the experience. Hopefully, when Avatar and SWL is done, the value will be back.

I wouldn't pay that much. I remember about 20 years ago they tried this. I believe it was before EMH. Didn't think it was worth the money then either. A little off subject, the last time we went to WDW we went to Halloween party. It was good but the only complaint I have is there was only a few places to eat and they didn't have the regular menu. I had a salad of some kind at Pecos Bills and it was awful. Because of that and it just didn't seem to be worth the money we won't be doing that again either.

It was $15 back then.

I will be at the Grand Floridian Villas in two weeks but will be fast asleep at that time of night after using my AP for a day at a park. No way are they getting anymore out of me!

I went to WDW when they had the $10 E-ticket nights. You could not beat that. They had rare characters out for M&G's, the E-rides were all open, and there was no wait for them. Now they want $150 for it. Not going to happen.

Spend $105.00 for a packed park and not be able to ride much. OR pay this amount to have an empty park to yourself?

LOL, I know it seems like a steal to me too...but at some point you just have to draw the line, right? I mean we know celebs pay big bucks for VIP access right? So an extra $ 149 for 3 hours of empty park is working man pricing. But when is enough going to be enough?

Well, I think business would pick up when the Extra Magic Hours go away. Now, I can see that happening. Then Disney would have you were they want you. People pay for the parties and they get 20,000 people that pay for it. Get the low flying drones to do away with the fireworks? Who knows?

This isn't for the diehard WDW fan who is there at least once a year. This is for the family going once in a lifetime and hoping to have enough time to do everything. Or for the really rich. I wouldn't think too many people here would vote for it since we spend our time here trying to figure out how to do the mouse as efficiently as possible, lol.

I must not be in my right mind lol. I'm a annual passholder and I thought why not, there will be no one there. Disney is just testing to see if it is worth it. It probably won't be but having the whole park to yourself? That answers the question how much would you pay for no lines :)

This is not an OR situation...you would have to pay $149 to stay in the park AFTER you have spent $105 to be in the park all day! I wonder if they gave guests the option...pay $105 for all day or pay $149 for 3 hours...if they would have more taking advantage of Disney After Dark hours?
