Trip Report Disneymoon 16th Aug till 7th Sep 2013

Hello and Welcome to our Disneymoon trip report, our pre trip report can be found somewhere on here lol.

If you don't have time to read the ptr, here is a little bit about us.

Our names are Dana and Jon, both 25 years old. We got married on Saturday 3rd August 2013, at home in the Uk. Here is a picture of us both on our wedding day. (the sun is out for once, we were being blinded by the sun)

Wedding%20pic.jpg

Since we couldn't get married in Disney, I had to have a Disney Dress :)

This is our second trip to Disney together and was an obvious choice for our Honeymoon as we both had such an amazing time in 2011. We waited 13 days to go to Disney to chill out from the wedding and have a build of excitement again.

We will try and update this every day so please watch this thread and let us know what you think. We hope you enjoy the journey with us.

As promised @figmentfan423 A tag so you didn't miss our report

Day 16
31st August 2013

Today was the Keys to the Kingdom tour today which we were really looking forward to. We got there early again as our tour was at 8.30 and we wanted a quick look at the empty park before we started the tour. We got a load of photopass pictures with almost nobody in the park which was cool.

Our tour guide was very funny and the tour was Amazing just like we hoped. We strongly recommend doing this at some point. As we had the 8.30 tour it was cool to see the running of the guests as they entered the park. We had lunch at the Columbia harbour house which was nice, I had the chicken and fish combo and Dana had the chicken nuggets.

IMG_1489.jpg

Our tour finished around 1pm and we were a little bit hungry so we headed over to main street bakery and I got a Cookie. Dana was hungry after this so we headed to Storybook treats and I had a cookie sundae and Dana had a fudge brownie sundae.

IMG_1491.jpg

After this we headed back to the hotel for a while, on the way out I finally got to get a picture of the Iron Man Monorail.

DSC_4004.jpg

Once chilled out we headed to the Premium outlets at vineland avenue. It was soo busy and it took ages to park. Obviously all of the sales were on so it was a nightmare. After a while it did quieten down and we managed to get a few bits. For dinner we headed to the Olive Garden. We had not eaten at one before but Danas sister gave it a great review so we gave it a go. The food was ok there but it was really busy so I think that’s why it was only ok. It was good value though especially as we were used to theme park prices by this point. Dana said her pasta was amazing, it was a mushroom filled pasta with a creamy cheese sauce.

Day 17
1st September 2013

The plan for today was to go to the Florida Mall, we made sure we got there early so I headed down and got some Danish’s from the hotel and we had them in the room before leaving to get there. We managed to park just fine and had a good look around the mall, we liked it there and left around 1.30, we were hungry and I had been wanting to eat at a waffle house after driving past so many on the i4. We found one and it looked really dodgy so we were a bit nervous about it. But to our surprise the food was really good. And it was a ridiculously low price.

After our tummy’s were full we headed to the premium outlets at International Drive to have a look around before heading to the mall at millennia so Dana could get a bag she saw the other day there. After this we headed back to the room and as the weather was a bit off we did some laundry. Once it had got a bit better we headed off to Magic Kingdom at around 8.20. We rode Stich before getting a Stawberry shortcake sundae.

IMG_1506.jpg

We then rode Buzz using a fast pass

followed by Philarmagic. After this we headed back and Dana got a Toffee apple and I got a white chocolate cookie on the way out.

Day 18
2nd September 2013

Today Dana had a brainwave we had been struggling with getting breakfast from the hotel as it was so far from the room and it is only a small counter or a sit down meal, we thought today why not head over to a moderate hotel with a food court for breakfast. We headed over to the Caribbean Beach as Dana had stayed there previously. I had a bounty platter and Dana had pancakes with sausage.

IMG_1514.jpg

IMG_1515.jpg

It was just what we wanted and let us use up some credits. After this we headed to blizzard beach, I hadn’t learnt from my beating from wet n wild and decided to go on Summit Plummet, we then both rode the Team Boat Springs before relaxing on the lazy river for a while.

Photo0607FourBySix.jpg

Photo0617FourBySix.jpg

After this we rode the Runoff rapids 3 times, but only on the two which are for 2 people. We then relaxed in the surf pool for a while. After this we got a pretzel dog to share with some chips just to keep us going and to try and use our QS credits.

IMG_1516.jpg

We stayed in our swim gear and headed to Downtown Disney to get a earl of sandwich for lunch, Dana had the Hawaiian and I had the Earls Club, we both had Jello as a dessert.

IMG_1519.jpg

IMG_1520.jpg

After lunch we went over the road to typhoon lagoon. We met Stich

and then went straight in to the wave pool for a while before riding Crush n Gusher on Coconut Crusher.

Photo0628FourBySix.jpg

After this we rode gangplank falls and then left because the weather was looking bad and we decided to just put a towel round us and go. We were so lucky, we hadn’t sat in the car for more than a minute when rain started pouring down and they closed the park anyway. As it was about 3 we headed and got some fuel before going back to the room to get changed and ready for Magic Kingdom that night. We got to magic kingdom and got our next Photopass Plus card as they only last for 14 days and we were there for a bit longer. We then went to the bakery and I had a cookie while Dana had a cake pop. We then rode buzz and got some cheese crackers and a Fanta Orange before heading to catch the Monorail to the Contempory for our dinner at Chef Mickeys. On the way we got a picture by the castle,

Photo0630FourBySix.jpg

and look even the ducks like popcorn!!!

IMG_1527.jpg

The man behind even left enough space so that the duck could que lol :hilarious:

Photo0636FourBySix.jpg

We checked in and didn’t have very long to wait. We both had a couple of plates for a main and a plate for a dessert. The food was really good and there was loads of choice. After this we headed round on the monorail to try and watch the water parade but no one seemed to know what we were on about and we didn’t manage to see it. We did some research after this night so we could know how and when to see it. After this failed attempt we got the bus back to the resort.

Day 19
3rd September 2013

As breakfast was so good and just what we wanted at the Caribbean yesterday we decided to do the same, I had the pancakes while Dana had a giant Mickey waffle.

IMG_1536.jpg

IMG_1537.jpg

We also decided to use two QS meal credits to get a couple of Danish, some fruit and two bottles of water. We left this in the car and headed over to SeaWorld. We had originally planned to go shopping today but as we had already managed to fit this in we headed for SeaWorld with the intention of doing another encounter. We were in luck they had space on the dolphin interaction program. We booked this and then headed over to the Dolphin cove to have a look around before our tour. We were lucky that one of the dolphins decided to do their bubble trick right in front of the underwater viewing.

DSC_4036.jpg

DSC_4038.jpg

DSC_4042.jpg

We stayed there for around 15 minutes before heading to the dolphin nursery to meet up for our tour. The tour was really good just like last time we did it.

10903201.jpg

10903411.jpg

After this we headed off to watch One ocean, I just watched it this time and didn’t take any pictures. Once this was finished we headed around the long way to get to the Shark encounter. Once we had seen them I got some Caramel popcorn as it looked really good. We ate some of this and had a look at the seals and sea lions before trying to see the penguins at Empire of the penguin. This is when we found out that the only way to see them is to wait in the line until you get to the front and then say you do not want to ride it and just want to see the penguins. The line was around 60 minutes so we didn’t want to wait, we were quite upset as we were looking forward to this and it was the last thing we wanted to do a SeaWorld, so be warned, don’t make the same mistake as us and ride the ride without looking at the animals. Once out of the park we had our Danish’s and fruit before heading to a Wal-Mart to pick something up for Dana's Sister. Once back at the room we had a look online at some of our photopass pictures before heading to Magic Kingdom. We went and got a fast pass of BTMR and the watched Country Bear Jamboree before getting some food at Pecos Bill. We share a BBQ pulled pork sandwich and then had a strawberry yoghurt.

IMG_1539.jpg

After this it was time for our fastpasses for big thunder so we rode that. From looking online we found out that our pictures with Daisy were missing so we headed over to Storybook circus via the train and met Daisy.

Photo0646FourBySix.jpg

We then walked to tomorrow land and rode the people mover as we knew that space mountain was closed for a shore refurb. It was cool looking in a space mountain with all the lights on.

DSC_4050.jpg

DSC_4051.jpg

We then rode buzz

Photo0650FourBySix.jpg

After Buzz it was time for a full meal at Liberty Tree Tavern, we hadn’t booked this on a ADR but while we were out there because the menu was similar to the garden grill. The food was really good and the atmosphere was cool. We would defiantly go back there again.

IMG_1541.jpg

IMG_1542.jpg

It was now approaching Wishes time so we headed to BTMR and rode that 3 times while wishes was on. We then headed back to the now empty central hub in front of the castle to watch the new version of Celebrate the Magic Fall edition. It is so much better watching the projection at this time if you do not mind missing wishes. If you want to see wishes you almost have to get there before the first show to get a space. We liked this projection but we both still prefer the show from last trip which was the Magic Memories and You. Although some parts of the new show are much better than the old. After the show we headed back home.

Day 20
4th September 2013

Today was the last day with the car :( We got breakfast from our quick service counter before dropping off the car.

IMG_1543.jpg

From the Dolphin resort we walked over to the Beach Club and got some Oreo Bon Bons, these are Amazing everybody has to try these once in their life.

IMG_1544.jpg

IMG_1545.jpg

We walked back to the Swan so that we could get picked up in the magic red van, and taken to Saratoga Springs for a open house with DVC. We chatted with the Rep and he was really helpful. After this we got the Red van to drop us off at Hollywood Studios we got a fast pass for TSMM and then got some lunch at the Backlot Express. Dana had a Hotdog and a Chocolate Mousse while I had a Burger and a Chocolate Mousse. We then met the characters from Monster University followed by Phineas and Ferb.

Photo0655FourBySix.jpg

Photo0679FourBySix.jpg

We then met Lightning Macqueen and Tow Mater from Cars.

Photo0685FourBySix.jpg

After this we watched Muppet Vision, and after this I looked down at our fast passes and realise they were right away after we got them. The cards we got off of the DVC entitled us to 3 fast passes each which were valid right away. We hurried back and explained and the cast members let us on. I guess they had seen this a lot. After the game we met Buzz and Woody but the photopass photographer was having camera issues so we used our point and shoot.

DSC04605.jpg

We then headed to the animation courtyard and met the Sorcerer Mickey. After this we got a Chocolate covered Stawberry and a Oatmeal Cookie and a Lemon Slush.

IMG_1546.jpg

IMG_1547.jpg

This kept us going so we headed and rode Star Tours and I was the Rebel Spy. Wahoo. We then rode it again before heading over to watch Voyage of the little Mermaid. After this we rode TSMM on our fastpass from earlier and then rode it again with about a 25 minute wait on standby. It was now time for our meal at the Hollywood Brown Derby, the food was amazing again just like all of the other 2 credit meals. I had the beef and a Crème Brulee while Dana had the Pork and a slice of Grapefruit cake. They also bought us out a Chocolate Mousse for our honeymoon which was really cool.

Space mountain is so strange with the lights on, for such a big place the ride seems pretty small inside :jawdrop:
All the food you've eaten on your holiday looks amazing, the Oreo Bon Bons are on my list of things to try! Can you buy them in the parks?
