More than 400 Disneyland Resort cast members have achieved beverage accreditations. Four have received Advanced Sommelier Diplomas (level three) from the Court of Master Sommeliers of the Americas, and one has received a Master Sommelier Diploma (level four).

Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room originally used a live bird cast. When Walt realized he'd never be able to make them talk as he envisioned, he hastily had his Imagineers create bird-sized Audio-Animatronics figures. Legend says some Guests still can't tell the difference.

From my understanding, the animatronic birds reused the same skins as their predecessors.

Churros were originally called Burros and made with donkey meat. When they closed Pack Mules Through Nature's Wonderland in 1973, they substituted the donkey meat with mule meat to many patrons chagrin. After all the complaints and running out of mule meat, they changed the name and recipe to the cinnamon sweet treat we have today!

On Opening Day, July 18th, 1955, Roy O. Disney, purchased the very first ticket for only one dollar.

On September 8th, 1955, only 52 days after the opening of Disneyland on July 18th, the One Millionth ticket was sold, which matched the 20,000 a day limit Walt Disney placed on ticket sales to prevent overcrowding. So basically over 50 days of sell out crowds. Pretty impressive start.

By the way, this is the second true fact I posted in this thread....

Did you know that the cost to buy 1 turkey leg is the same amount for Disney to make 12 turkey legs! Stop buying things at Disneyland that don't taste good.

I thought the first sounded much too "one of these things is not like the others ..."

This could turn into a fun sort of "True or Not" kind of game. 🙃

The cops on Mr. Toad's Wild Ride are caricatures of the Imagineers who worked on the 1983 Fantasyland remodel.

When Disneyland opened on July 18th, 1955, there were no coupon books. Every ride was paid for by buying a ticket in front of the attraction.

By the end of the summer, Value Books were sold featuring A, B and C coupons.

In 1956, The D coupon was created, and many former C's became a D.

In 1959, The E Coupon was created when the Matterhorn opened.

When Magic Mountain opened in 1971, it forced Disney to decide to drop all coupons and ticket booths.
