Disneyland Resort Donating Excess Food During Temporary Closure

The Disneyland Resort has an ongoing commitment to reducing food waste, and during the temporary closure of Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park will be donating excess food inventory to Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County.

This is what the world needs right now. People helping people in need. It's a wonderful thing that Disney is donating excess food that will go to waste during the closure. Well done Disney!

It didn't cross my mind initially what they would do with all the food but this really makes me happy to see. This is absolutely the right thing to do, the food would have gone to waste anyways and it would have been easy for them to just toss it out and leave it alone. This is not only doing the right thing but I'm sure it's gonna be good for the PR side of things since people always paint Disney as a greedy corporation (not saying they are or aren't, I just see people make that claim all the time here and on Twitter, etc.)
