Disneyland Madrid: Opening Day
(Before I go any farther, I would like to say that this was inspired by the style that @tcool123 took with his resort.)

Today, May 30, 3005, marks a great day for Madrid. Today the whole Disney team welcomes you to Disneyland Madrid. Here at the resort, we don't just have one 134-acre park, we have two hotels and Disney's Shopping Row. Over time, Disneyland Madrid will unfold itself and will open things that can't be imagined today. We at Disney promise that this resort will be the perfect new addition to the parks family.
- Disneyland Park Madrid -
Disneyland Park Madrid is the main spot at Disneyland Madrid. Opening with 6 lands, this park is home to 31 attractions, 17 eateries, and 19 stores. The first land you see as you walk into the park is Disneytoon Street. This land is the one that welcomes you and makes you want to keep walking. This is Madrid's version of Main Street U.S.A but only it is a small town in the style of a cartoon. It has all the same level of charm as Main Street U.S.A though. Located at the end of Disneytoon Street and past a luscious courtyard is Cinderella's Castle, with its highest point being at 192 feet.
The second land is right through the castle, Fantasyland. Fantasyland is split into two areas, The Castle Courtyard and Storybook Circus. The Castle Courtyard is host to the classic and necessary attractions such as Peter Pan's Adventure and it's a small world. Storybook Circus is home to two attractions, those being Dumbo's Flying Elephants and The Barnstormer.
The third land is Tomorrowland 2050. This Tomorrowland is laid out in almost the exact same style as the one in Orlando, only this land has some different attractions. As you walk through the main entrance to the land and down its tight street, you'll notice some attractions like Star Tours and Stitch's Great Encounter. Farther in the land you'll find more of the timeless attractions.
The fourth land is Adventureland. This Adventureland is the largest one to date (until the near opening of the new Disneyland in Singapore
). Adventureland backs up to the Rio de Aventura (River of Adventure) which houses this park's take on the Jungle Cruise, with Jungle Cruise Along the Rio de Aventura. This land is also home to a new ride with some familiar birds, Flight of the Tiki Birds.
The fifth land is Westwardland. Westwardland is the third iteration of the name, Frontierland. Westwardland has one sub-land, Thunder Ranch, which is home to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Here in Westwardland you can experience the sounds of the Country Bear Jamboree. You can also watch another show, though live actors, called Miss Daly's Countless Comedy Roundup.
The sixth and final land of Disneyland Park Madrid is Critter Corral. Critter Corral is separated into two. There's the mainland and then there's the 3-acre petting zoo entitled Disney's Critter Country. The mainland of Critter Corral includes Splash Mountain and It's Tough to Be a Bug. This land is the smallest out of all six lands but it does have intricate detailing.
- Hotel Disneyland Madrid -
This resort hotel is the resort's main hotel. The hotel boasts around 370 rooms themed to Disney fairy tales including Snow White, Cinderella, and The Sorcerer's Apprentice. All 370-some rooms are enclosed in one grand building, much alike the Disneyland Hotel in Paris. This hotel has one pool, and that is the Disney Splashland Pool. Here you'll find two waterslides, a jacuzzi, and a kiddy pool and splash park. The resort has three restaurants to choose from, one of which being the splendid La Elegancia de España, or The Elegance of Spain. This hotel has plenty of shopping in its merchandise store. The best part of the resort is the spa found on the top floor.
- Disney's American Dream Resort -
Disney's American Dream Resort is the moderately-priced resort of the resort. Don't let the price fool you as this hotel has so many great amenities. This hotel boasts over 700 rooms spread across three buildings. The hotel is themed to a styling of Main Street U.S.A. This hotel has two pools, one being right outside the main building, and one being outside the third building. Along with swimming you can get a bite to eat at the hotel's quick service restaurant, American Eats. The hotel also has a shop where you can find things from t-shirts to plushies.
- Disney's Shopping Row -
Disneyland Madrid's equivalent to Downtown Disney, Disney's Shopping Row is the top spot at the resort for shopping and dining. Shopping Row hosts three restaurants, two of which are sit down, and seven shops. Disney's Shopping Row is also where you can find the bus station that can take you to other parts of the resort or to nearby places, like Madrid. Out of the seven shops, you can expect to find The Disney Store, Glow in the Shop (a store to with clothes that light up at night), and H&M.
- Parking -
Disneyland Madrid has one parking structure, two parking lots, and an overflow parking which is only open seasonally. The parking structure (The Princess Garage) is only used for Disneyland Park Madrid, while the two parking lots (Mickey, Minnie) are used for Disney's Shopping Row. It's easy to walk from the parking structure to the park, although trams are accessible and run every 2-3 minutes. There are no trams in the parking lots as they are small enough to walk to Shopping Row. If overflow parking is open, there will be no choice but to use a tram. Each hotel has their own private parking, which don't have trams.
