99% of the time at Disney I'm by myself (I'm kind of a loner). But this time I'm going with four of my friends. Obviously most attractions will be okay, but for some like Spaceship Earth, Dumbo, Haunted Mansion (I know you can fit maybe three in a Doom Buggy but we're all adults so we might not fit.) Tomorrowland Speedway and maybe a few others I can't think of at the moment. I know there's not much that can be done, but I'm just currious as to how you guys decide who sits by themselves when you go with an odd number of people.

There is usually three of us. We simply take turns riding with our daughter. She'll be 18 this month. She is very thin, and her dad and I are fairly small, so we all three fit in many of the rides. We fit fine in HM.

WE LEAVE IT UP TO OUR BOYS WHO WILL RIDE WITH WHOM. SOMETIMES MY 9 YO DS WILL WANT TO RIDE WITH BROTHER; SOMETIMES HE WILL WANT TO RIDE WITH MAMA OR DADDY. WE ALSO HAVE A 17 YEAR OLD AUTISTIC SON WHO WILL RIDE WHEREVER YOU TELL HIM TO BECAUSE DISNEY IS THE REASON FOR WAKING UP EVERY DAY (SERIOUSLY). SO IT REALLY DOESN'T MATTER HOW YOU SPLIT UP, YOU WILL HAVE AN AMAZING TIME. BECAUSE YOU WILL ALL BE AT DISNEY!!!

One person goes by themselves, obviously. I've ridden by myself on rides like HM. It's kind of nice sometimes. But if you want to ride with others, I suggest a rotation. Every ride there would be a different person sitting out.

There are five of us on most trips and we just decide in line who is riding with each other. My husband will not do the thrill rides so that's easy! It's a given that I ride with my husband on Buzz Lightyear because he controls the car and the kids hate that! I'm the lucky one that gets stuck with him.

It means you can only pick three friends to tour with. Leave that one friend at the bar.

I'm the odd man out but when my kids are riding together they take turns.

We too are a family of five. Generally we let the children decide. DH will sit some rides out as he is not a fan of some rides. It all works out - I agree with PP no need to plan - just have fun.
