People need to know that WDW themselves will update the website and that they will contact people with reservations and deuces changes and reschedule options. Don’t always believe media, call Disney Vacation Specialists.

do you work for Walt Disney World? Cuz some people could really use some answers lol

Did you see the news?

And unless *you* work for the upper echelon of Disney, don't be making threads saying what Disney will and will not do.

LOL. You first thread complained about Disney being closed during a once in a century pandemic because you have a honeymoon. Now you refuse to believe reality, when there's a mandatory stay-at-home order in the area?

Walt Disney World will open NO EARLIER than April 10th. They have sent an email to CMs telling them that if they aren't essential to stay home unless they are doing something that's provisioned by the stay at home order. Furthermore, Universal Orlando in Orange County WILL be closed till April 19th at the earliest, and Disney is very likely to copy them.

Some on Twitter is saying with how they can reopen Animal Kingdom since its in Osceola County. Only the All Star Resorts & Wide World of Sports are IN Osceola. Animal Kingdom and Animal Kingdom Lodge are in Orange County as per Oranges Property Appraiser.

So IF anything were to open, and that IF is so massive, Alaska can use the grain of salt for the entire season to keep their roads clean, it would be Wide World of Sports. Do note that Osceola County on Wednesday will consider their own Stay at home order.

Keep in mind Disney has enormous governmental control, so legally they would probably be exempt from any county-specific order. Realistically they would never not comply, nor will they likely be open before may.

They have no say in this matter. They will have to appeal directly to the governors office, and that will quickly and swiftly sour their relations with Orange County. Last I checked, Outside of their wetlands area the wide world of sports and All Stars, all of their operations are in Orange County. The county elective official, Mayor Jerry L. Demings also clearly stated at the press conference that the order applies to all Orange County cities and unincorporated areas (this applies to Disneys Cities of Bay Lake and Lake Buena Vista and the Reedy Creek Improvement District as they are a unincorporated area). They are also barred as they are not essential as taken directly from the order.

Plus Disney doesn't want a show like Universal Orlando got in the press a few weeks ago.

There is no chance that WDW will be reopening on April 1. Expect Disney to update that information very soon. People need to respect and be prepared for that. Your subject line for the thread is misleading.

The problem is that a vast majority of workers live in orange county.
