You'd pay your hotel bill with the gift cards. As long as you are staying onsite and have room charging ability setup with your magic band - you can use them indirectly this way.

You would have thought that the deal between Disney & Target would have included some developers to help DI$ do that. You can add Target gift cards in the Target app and pay with them. Maybe they were too focused on adding EARidescent coloring on the castle for the 50th? Or maybe $2+ billion just wasn't enough to provide that functionality.
