Why would this take more then a week?
Bureaucracy.

Chapek tells WDW leadership to do this. They tell their underlings to make a plan, which they then work on in committee and present to leadership, who then suggest updates. Then the whole thing goes to other committees with multiple levels of approval. Then they have to actually roll-out. Multiple levels of approval there. Alert marketing. Multiple levels of approval.

Universal is just like, make a sign and put up 500 of them. Update the website. And its done.

Id prefer a hybrid. Checks and balances are good for safety, consistency, and ensuring all areas of a huge resort are on the same page, but Disney has too many levels.

Youd be shocked at the process to get a lightbulb changed. It doesnt stay burnt out because no one cares. Its the convoluted process to get it changed out.
