Disney to launch NextGen 'My Disney Experience' app for iPhone, iPad and Android

Installed it on my Droid. Went to log into my Disney account and it keeps saying my login/password are bad. But they're not. I'm typing them perfectly, using the exact e-mail and password I JUST typed into the web browser at disneyworld.com.
This may sound silly but had you just setup the account at Disneyworld.com? If you did, trying waiting a little bit of time because while it syncs off of the online account, it takes a little bit of time for that data to get to the servers that handle the app. These systems run of at least a dozen (if not hundreds) of different systems and it does take a little time for them to synchronize.

Of course, it could just be a problem with the app server too.

I wish they would have rolled this thing out one day earlier on Droid. I was in the park on the 4th. I can tell it already runs a lot better on my phone than Mobile Magic did.

Good point, but this account has been setup on DW.com for quite some time. I couldn't remember which password I used, so I logged into it via my PC's web browser. Once logged in, I used the same credentials on the app with no luck. Tried three times.

I'm guessing it's just buggy, since it's brand new.

Anyone know how accurate the wait times are with this newer app? I know the previous app was very inconsistent with the wait times, but I am hoping this one is far more accurate.

played with it briefly at MK cause i got word it was in the play store, they were pretty accurate... considering how slow it was anyway.

Great, because the "user submission" apps are wildly inaccurate. I would prefer to simply go by the time Disney has posted by the rides. I know that sometimes these are off as well, but it has not been the case too often when we were there. This will help us use our time more wisely in the parks. Thanks. :)

I know this is going to be a dumb question, but have you uninstalled the app and reinstalled it? Also, it may simply be the OS that your phone is running. My college has an app that sucked something awful on my old Froyo OS, but it works wonderful on Gingerbread and Ice Cream Sandwich.

My Disney Experience has a problem with refreshing wait times that Mobile Magic doesn't have. However, it does seem that with wifi in most public areas, the location based services on My Disney Experience are better.

Just downloaded it to my Galaxy S3. Very cool this is finally out for the Android.

I didn't see it when i did a search for My Disney Experience either in the Google Play Store, but if you do that search tap where it comes up with 65 results, then scroll down. you should see it about 5 down from the top.

I hope that the times and places for the m & g will be better with the new app. A lot of the times on Mobile Magic, it would say that someone was somewhere in the park but didn't say where.

Anyone know where I can get the .apk file so I can side load the app. It's not compatible with my Nexus 7 tablet so I can't download from the play store. I got the Disney Mobile Magic app to work this way. I tried a Google search but no luck yet. We are headed to the world in 29 days and I would love to have this by then.

For those who have downloaded and installed the app for your Android phone, are you having issues signing in?
No problems except it required me to add two extremely annoying security questions. It's annoying because it's just a stupid app and the screen cut off half the words in the questions and typing the answers on a cell phone and ensuring it's totally correct (and that autocorrect doesn't change it) when you need it to be the same thing next time, is aggravating.

I was surprised it was compatible even with my ancient LG Optimus M which runs Android 2.2.2
