Disney Tails

Hi Everyone,

I'm pretty new to this board so forgive me if there has already been a thread started about this or if I have posted this in the wrong forum.

I am trying to get some info on the Disney Tails pet store in Downtown Disney. Neither me or my wife have been able to find a whole lot about the store online so I'm hoping some of you WDW fans will be able to help.

I guess we are trying to figure out where the store is, what they sell, anything like that. We are heading to WDW in a couple weeks and want to bring home a few things for our Basset Hound.

Any info or updates you guys can provide would be greatly appreciated!

Last time I was there (October '08) it was a corner of the Pooh store at DTD.

There are treats, bowls, and a limited selection of close. There is also a machine where you can make your own dog tag.

I have noticed that the selection of merchandise has steadily declined in varity over the past few years but there are still some cute items.

A few years back, we also found a pet section in the Emporium where we picked up some pet treats!!!!

The Disney Tails stuff is kind of all over the place. You can find it in all the major parks I believe.

Its usually just a small stand with basic stuff so dont expect too much. We got our dog a collar from there

I found the most Disney Tails stuff in Epcot at MouseGears. They also have a lot at what I think is the fire house...I could be wrong on the name. It's just before the Emporium on the left as you enter Magic Kingdom.

We were very dissapointed with it. You're better off going to World of Disney (they have all the same stuff), combining your pet purchases with the rest of your purchases, using your disney visa and getting a 10% discount

A couple of years ago when we were there, we saw a 'Stich party animal' dog neckerchief on a display and asked where we could find one. We were told that it was only for display and that they don't make it any more - well we must have looked disappointed, as the CA asked us to wait, took the display down and presented us with the necker and a Magic Moments certificate! Only at Disney....
