News Disney Springs Bus Service to Resorts Now Requires Reservation Verification

Can confirm they were checking reservations at the boat dock around 4p Wednesday. Short lines for the boats to/fr POFQ and DS, though DS was not very busy, perhaps due to time of day/day of week/hot weather (though the parks were mobbed!) Beignet line at FQ much shorter than on past visits but TBH this is a very narrow snapshot over a few days' time.

I thought someone said the guest complaints about too-crowded boats to the resorts must have been extreme in order for Disney to forgo the additional revenue from beignets. Or maybe that post referred to the Grand Flo and the Gingerbread House. Same idea though.

Of course that would mean there are crowds to begin with.

I'm late to this party but just made reservations for WDW 11/15-11/21. As a Pixie Dust holder I'm blocked out from going to the parks on 11/20 but thinking about MVCMP that night. I may want to check out Christmas trees during the day instead. Is that a no-go now on buses without a dinner reservation?

Oh yeah, you should be fine even if they restrict things further. The next step would be checking at the theme parks for resort reservations. But you’d still be in the clear for that as well.

I know this is late, but has anyone noticed whether or not this impacted the Trader Sam’s waitlist? Since this went into effect, I’ve wondered if the Poly lobby and restaurants are less crowded than usual. A few years ago we never actually got in even though we were staying at the resort.

I keep seeing photos of 75+ people in the evenings lined up to go to the resorts, with literally nobody being turned away. Just feels like a massive inconvenience to guests at that point. Nobody is trying to use a loophole to get free parking at 9pm.
