I think I may have started a topic similar to this one in the past but I'm not too sure lol, but I was wondering what can be seen or heard off-property and how far?

For example, someone mentioned they can hear some of the sounds of the Magic Kingdom from their houses as well as see the fireworks. Others have indicated that you can actually see the four park icons while traveling down the Western Beltway towards the new western entrance into the World. How about the view from SeaWorld's Skytower...what's that like?

I was on the Skytower in Sea World. The thing is over 300 feet high, my wife was scared to go on it. I honestly tried my best to find Disney but could not. I figured Epcot would have the most noticeable icon, but to no avail.

When your on everest and turn around on the lift you can see certain elements from MK, epcot, and studios.

From SeaWorld's Skytower you can see some of WDW on a clear day, you need to know what your looking for though.

Noticed this myself the last two times we have driven down that way.

Does anyone have pics from the Western Beltway at all? We never get out that way at all so it would be cool to see some pics. If any locals could maybe snap a few, that would be great!

I would think you could see SSE and maybe DHS and Everest from the Skytower. It's probably impossible to see the tower from Everest if you're looking in the right direction.

rct247 - doesn't SeaWorld have fireworks? Maybe you're referring to those?

I have stayed at friends' house in Davenport, FL (I-4 & highway 27). The Epcot (I think , it was at 9pm) fireworks can be heard there.

No, Sea World doesn't have fireworks most of the year. It is clearly Epcot's because it is always just after 9pm and it ends with the extra loud ones.

The spotlights from DD are visible from quite a distance.
