Don't ask how, but I just learned that the 80s movie Dragonslayer was a Disney production. This is actually pretty surprising because there are lots of not so Disney aspects to that film.
Anyone else have any others that might suprise(or opinions on Dragonslayer)?

The movie was a Disney-Paramount co production.

Paramount has the home video rights in the USA, Disney in Europe.

I loved that movie as a kid - great high fantasy and the dragon, Vermithrax, was amazing. But to me, "Something Wicked This Way Comes" was way more traumatizingly non-Disney. Those as an adult I came to truly appreciate the film far more. But as a kid, it totally freaked me out. But then, so did Chernabog from Fantasia. And the whole Pleasure Island sequence in Pinocchio. Oh, and "Return to Oz", too. Though on the darker side of Disney, I loved "Watcher in the Woods".
