Disney names Geoff Morrell new PR chief

Looks like Zenia Mucha's replacement has been named.

Disney to Tap BP Exec and Former ABC News Correspondent Geoff Morrell as PR Chief (Exclusive)

Morrell, who was also the press secretary for the Pentagon during the Bush and Obama administrations, will succeed Zenia Mucha, who plans to retire at the end of the year.

Morrell is currently EVP of BP, having "rehabbed" (LOL) that company's image following the Deepwater Horizon disaster, and was a former ABC News correspondent before joining the Pentagon as the press secretary during the Bush and Obama years.

If you eliminate the position, then there can be no recriminations that the person was fired unfairly, compared to whomever you hire to replace them, because there can be no replacement for a position that no longer exists.
