I was at Epcot for new years 2000 and man I had never seen soooo many people. All the parks were at capacity within an hour of opening and they were turning people away who were driving up....the traffic must have been backed up a good 20-30 miles no lie but luckily since we were staying in a Disney resort we could still get in the only bad thing about the entire night was not getting back to our hotel til 5 AM they actually had to bring in the orlando city buses to help out with the efforts so i wouldnt dubt you for a minute

I think that's great news....maybe now things are finally getting back to normal at the World. Maybe now they will cancel some of the cutbacks

this has made my day!- i along with many others thought it was going to take a couple of years to have wdw hit capacity because of the sept 11 tragidy. i guess the people of the world will not let
osama bin a-hole ruin their good time anymore. i think this year will be very positive for the entire disney company in all of its business units.:sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy:

I'm thinking it's b/c of the reopenings of COP and TK! Maybe Disney will reconsider keeping them open now. Probably not, but let a man dream!:drevil:

I went to Epcot for the 4th year in a row on NYE. I did not arrive until 10:45 pm and got 5 of those hats at guest relations.

Did they do Illuminations Reflections of Earth?

They had illuminations at 11:45 that night the only thing I noticed different was extra fireworks at the end. I really do not watch illuminations that often though.
