Anyone else have this happen to them? I rode TSM 3 times before 10 AM (standby, single rider and FP) and after I got off, I noticed a blister on my finger. Such a funny injury to have at Disney.

Yup, the final day of our last trip just happened to overlap with the first day of AP previews and I got rope burn real bad on my left index finger. I'll have to revise my rope-pulling technique for next time.

Oh yeah, that happened to me...first (and hopefully only) time I've ever been injured by a Disney attraction!

Haha that's something that would happen to me! I used to get blisters on my palms from playing Mario Party on N64. Now I just suffer from Wii-itus.

Happened to me on my seventh ride on the my first day.

It happened because you were holding it by the string more than the ball. Thanks to that, I've avoided the pain since then.

My nephew and I rode it three times in a row and had no problem, guess we were holding it correctly, who knew there was a correct way. :ROFLOL:

Me too! however i would often get hand blisters from rubbing my hand on all of the buttons to have a 100 plus combo on Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 in the arcades. but back to the topic, i might probably bring a glove to avoid that (especially since i alternate hands between shooting segments on TSMM)

You should be commended for your fortitude and resolution to master Toy Story Mania. Your wound shows your perseverance, and I hope your score reflected your sacrifice. But how to get the high scores? Technique and teamwork!

The proper position for extreme scoring in Toy Story Mania is to place the string between your middle and ring finger with the ball resting in the notch of the first joint. Do not pull the ball, but fan your hand repeatedly towards you. The only thing moving should be your fingers, except for what it takes to aim the cannon. Remember, accuracy does not affect your score, so keep shooting as rapidly as possible.

To get the most points, play with an experienced friend to open up the easter eggs on each screen. Only then will the high value targets appear. Fan your way to the high score screen!

Good luck, Maniacs! Go get 'em!

I can see that happening to me if I had ridden it more than once! It's similar to "Ninendo Thumb" - which is what I used to get when I played video games too much & my thumb would swell from the A & B buttons being pushed so hard...:p

Oh man, I want a Toy Story Mania blister! I guess I will have to wait.

Anyway glad you enjoyed the ride enough to be on it that many times in a short amount of time. It is a lot of fun.

Oh yes, TSM is off the chain. I love it. I dont think I could single ride it over and over back to back, Ill have to take about 30 or 40 min. breaks in between as Im in alot of pain at the end lol.

The Tower is my all time favorite ride. TSM is so great though that I turned down the chance for the Tower to ride TSM. TSM has not replaced the Tower as my favorite, but TSM was so great.

It seems like every sport has its own somewhat common injury.

Baseball has the mallet finger.

Football has Turf Toe

MMA, wrestling and Rugby have cauliflower ear

And apparently TSM has String finger.
