News 'Disney Enchantment' coming to Magic Kingdom October 1 2021

The best parts of the show were the more subdued, understated transitional scenes where artistic nuances were on display and not the Disney characters. Give me a show filled with fireworks and projected transition wipes and I'd be loads happier. The technicolor vomitous was a bit much. It's not nearly as artistic and awe-inspiring as I'd had hoped. The magic never emerges. This was an assault of IP and nothing more.

And here I was hoping for something resplendent, elegant and enchanting. Oh well.

Quick reminder: no one in this conversation has seen Enchantment. We’ve seen HEA. It’s a bit early to say one show is better. That stream quality was awful.

HEA had to grow on me a bit before I absolutely loved it so I’ll give this one room to breathe. I liked the castle/Main Street projections and the fireworks looked really cool as well, I was just thrown off a bit by the alternate versions of some theatrical songs.

I’ll see it tomorrow night in person. Maybe I’ll have a better impression of it.

I'm really surprised at all of the HEA love. I though HEA was just decent. This was very similar but I thought the projections were much better, the original song was much better, and I liked that large sections of the middle were instrumental only, sans vocals.

I remember when HEA first came out, many people around here were not impressed.

Wow - another disappointing show. I was so upset to see that the projection no longer embraces the castle's design and has fun with and just kinda used the largest flat space to show clips. The 50th celebration is shaping up to be very disappointing.

They better get PTN shipped over ASAP!

Projections seemed better (makes sense with the technology upgrades), but just lacked emotion for me. I'm sure it'll have more "feel" in person (or at least I hope). I think the build ups were better in HEA. It just appeared to be the same show, except they already used all the best songs.

My favorite is how Bob Chapek *spent money to develop a new show, when it would have been much cheaper to continue running the old show, and he did this as a cost-savings exercise, somehow.*

As a DL local I'm so protective over PTN because of what happened when MSEP went over to WDW, but at this point please take it - WDW needs it more and it's not like DL is gonna show PTN anytime soon.

I'll admit it took a few viewings of HEA to really fall in love. There was just so much to see between the castle and the sky (especially coming from Wishes). I'm sure the same is true for Enchantment.

overall solid show. Much better than Harmonious. I love the theme song at the end, but I’m just sick of all these shows being the same.
