Has anyone used this website to watch for the hard-to-get dining reservations? I am considering trying them to land a lunch reservation at Be Our Guest in September. Is it worth it, or should we just keep trying on our own?

And dont give up hope.......availability does change every single day. Also the day before or the morning of is a great time to check for reservations as if people are going to cancel to avoid the penalty, that would be when it would occur. Dont be afraid to check to see if they have availability as a walk up, you never know!!! Marie

I'd say use disneydiningassistant.com , it's just as fast and it's a heck of a lot cheaper

Yes, I used this app and it worked great. Immediately it made me aware of a reservation at Be Our Guest. It was a very late time, so I selected "keep trying". Well, today, a week later, I was made aware of a 4:30 reservation, which I am sure was a cancellation, and I never would have been able to get that any other way. I mean, I can't keep checking ADRs 24/7. I have been trying for the last 2 years for Be Our Guest and it's virtually impossible to get if you don't book 6 months out. SO yes, it worked great. I just wish I knew how it worked. Now we are going to do it again for Le Cellier.

Trying to do disneydiningassistant.com but the site isn't showing that I can start a reservation look up. How long does it take to make a request after you pay for a subscription?

I was also hesitant about using Disney Dining Buddy, but there were 3 character experiences that I wanted for my 6 year old, and daily attempts proved unsuccessful. I decided to pay the $8 x3 on July 19 for Be Our Guest, Cinderella's Royal Table, and Hollywood and Vine for the week of Thanksgiving. Within 12 hours (July 20) I have reservations for Be Our Guest and Cinderella's Royal Table. I'm ecstatic! I have until November 20th to get reservations for Hollywood and Vine and I am POSITIVE that I will get a reservation. It's worth the $8. The only catch is that as soon as you receive the alert you have to click the link, because the tables go really fast. Will definitely use this site again. Happy in Texas!

So..... I can go onto Disney's site reserve as many dining reservations as I can then sell the slots for $8 a pop!!! What an idea. I wonder if I can pay for my next vacation that way.

Kind of like ticket scalpers except for dining reservations. No wonder tables are hard to get just like concert tickets.

How can someone make a lot of reservations, if you have to have a resort reservation to book 180 days out.?

You do not need a resort reservation, as far as I know. You need the resort to get an extra few days (e.g. If you're on property for 7 days, you can book 180+7 out). I made almost all of my dining reservations without having a resort reservation, although it was for 160ish days out.

Disney Dining Assistant seems to be working well for me now! It is well worth the $12.95 for 3 reservation alerts. I just got dinner at Be Our Guest and a lunch reservation for my trip! You just have to be fast to log in to your Disney Account to get reservation after you get the alert.

Disney Dining Buddy doesn't hold or give out reservations. What they do is alert you to when reservations become available so you don't have to stalk the website hoping one will become randomly open. They do not guarantee you will get the reservation you want either, as one may not be available with your parameters before you take your trip.

You do not need a resort reservation to book your dining 180 days out. What the resort reservation allows is for you to book 180 +10 - meaning that you can book the first ten days of your vacation starting at your 180 day mark. If you don't have a resort reservation, you can still book 180 days out, but only for that single day. So if I'm taking a three day trip, but haven't booked my resort yet, and my 180 day mark for my first day is Monday, I can book the first day of my trip Monday, the second day of my trip Tuesday, and the third day Wednesday. If I had a resort reservation I could book all my dining on Monday, the initial 180 day mark.

I decided to try Disney Dining Buddy out for my upcoming trip this December - I had a reservation for BOG but wanted to see if I could get one for an earlier time and with a larger party size. A big batch of reservations were released a week or two ago and I was able to snag one. I wouldn't use it for all my reservations, as I haven't typically had trouble in the past, even for BOG, but for the price I think it can definitely be worth it for the really tough reservations if you are adamant you want to eat at a particular location or time.
