And the little ones with their parents going to launch 0-60 in 2.9 sec and inverted loops? Better alert Custodial to clean up not if but many vomit spills.
The same people will be riding RnRC in 2027 as ride it today. That’s why the Muppets are going there. The Muppets are not terribly relevant but have a dedicated cult/fanbase. So, this is a no-risk way to please that fanbase without committing to a huge project. RnRC is popular because it’s the only looping coaster at WDW. That will continue to be true. At least they respect us a little…they could have just given Muppet fans nothing other than a pickle shake some months at Epcot.

As for the preposterous suggestion that the launch will leave: do we understand how roller coasters work? You can’t just cut the speed in half and have trains finish the course. Nor can they retrofit a 150-foot lift hill in because that will somehow scare the kiddies less.

I am just genuinely curious, and then I will drop this.
Do you really think (or want) the ride structure is going to change?
If there is $$ in the Mouse budget of gutting RnR and creating a new ride anything is possible. But little ones riding a similar ride like RnR so they can experience a Kermit and Friends adventure? Custodial better get ready to clean up those vomit spills.

The Muppets were meant for Adults in the first place..Hence why the series was originally called...

If you need a side for the kids however..Take em to Sea World or Busch Gardens where they have Sesame Street.

You are very fixated on kids on this ride. Do you think parents and kids will not know this is a roller coaster? Do you think the muppets are just for the kids? This is such a weird take, I'm genuinely confused. Why would it change because it's going from Aerosmith to Muppets? And how would it change? Are you proposing they are going to rip the ENTIRE coaster out and start from scratch on this? I'll tell you my 5 year old is all over multiple upside down coasters and can't stop talking about riding the new Cedar Point coaster now that we know he can get on at 48 inches.

And one episode where Sweetums and Ruth Buzzi were assaulting each other , another episode where sexpot Raquel Welch was doing a provacative dance and the classic Grodin seducing Miss Piggy in the Caper movie.

In 1999, I was 14, the first time I rode RnRC. It was soft openings. We waited hours in front of fake bushes at the entrance gate because we hear a rumor of it opening. We went back almost everyday that trip to ride. That launch is 80% of the fun.

I am sorry, I still just find the muppets in rockin’ rollercoaster, even with adults themes, to be very juvenile.
I mean, yes it is juvenile. So is 99% of WDW. It's a theme park for kids, their families or kids-at-heart. The ride will be the same. Now, you will just have animal doing a drum solo before the launch.

Hopefully, we still get to take a stretch... make that a super stretch limo.

People make such a fuss about little kids not liking roller coasters/big rides lol.

I have never met a kid who wasn't over-the-top excited for the *next* trip to Disney when they will be old/big/brave enough to ride the "big rides" including myself as a kid and all my friends and families. Some of y'all make such a big deal out of this when in reality basically every kid wants to ride the roller coaster. The same thing will happen with RNR when it's themed to Muppets. Kids will want to ride it. Adults will want to ride it. And kids not big enough yet will force their parents to bring them back when they are because now they can ride the BIG roller coaster that's themed to something they might give a crap about versus Aerosmith lol. Win-Win-Win for Disney.

P.S. -- I know I might get replies saying "eVerY kId dOesN'T lIkE bIg RiDeS"... yeah duh obviously not everyone does. But you are kidding yourself if you think the vast majority of people and kids aren't like what I described above.

It mostly sounds like adults who are scared of rollercoasters are having an issue. Kids either didn't want to ride before, or will wait until they are tall enough.
