Disney confirms 'Frozen' makeover coming to Epcot's Norway Pavilion

That's what I have found interesting - they really seem to expect everyone to just assimilate into this system. I think this could easily be a deterrent to get a Park Hopper, because if you hop to a park mid-day it's a much bigger deal now than it was before. Then again, with the way they have been increasing prices on the Park Hopper option, I'm not so sure they aren't trying to discourage it, because they think it might get folks to spend more days.

I think you're absolutely right, they are quite definitely trying to discourage park hopping. The threat to Disney comes from people choosing to spend some days of their vacation at competitors... reducing the incentive to park hop is a neat way to increase the amount of days a guest needs to spend on Disney property, without Disney having to spend any money on extra attractions.

It realy sucks that we never got a Beauty & the Beast or Aladdin ride but frozen a film with the most unimaginative creature designs I have ever seen and a plot that revolves around a girl trying to land a husband is getting an attraction right away.

I mean we never even got a Lion King ride and that was the Star Wars of animation and the highest grossing animated film for almost two decades.

Those rides didn't happen because there was still some respect for themed entertainment as its own medium.

Ah yes, great point. I do not think Frozen will ever become irrelevant. Do I think it will be THIS popular a year from now? No way. Nothing ever stays so hyped up forever without something constantly feeding it. Harry Potter is only still so very popular because there were 7 books followed by (in some instances, run in tandem with) 8 films, some rides, and now two large themed areas at Universal, but even HP isn't as popular as it used to be.
Of course the ride's not over yet what with those Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them movies.

Google definitions tells me that a "park" is "a large public green area in a town, used for recreation," where "recreation" means "activity done for enjoyment when one is not working" and synonymous with pleasure, leisure, relaxation, fun, enjoyment, entertainment, and amusement.

WDW is a collection of theme parks, among other things.

For me, RSVPing specific times to ride attractions diminishes my enjoyment and is not on par with pleasure, leisure, relaxation and fun.

There have been plenty of movies and tv shows that poke fun at the premise of someone who "over-plans" a vacation, theme park trip, or other activity that ought to be fun, but ends up backfiring due to the over-planning (i.e. National Lampoon's Vacation). Over-planning is counter-intuitive to leisure. There's a domino effect at play. If I want to ride Everest, then I'll prefer not to eat immediately before that, so now I have to plan my meal time, hope that the weather is accommodating, hope that a parade doesn't close the streets and bring foot traffic to a stand-still and make me late for my reservation, hope I don't come across a street performance that I'd like to stay and watch but risk missing my reservation and have to choose between the two, hope that the posted wait time for the stand-bye queue at another attraction is at least close to being accurate, etc.

That sounds like a recipe for anxiety, not leisure, relaxation and fun.

If Frostrom is FP-only, that will be another reason to miss Maelstrom.

Agreed on all fronts. Vacation planning should just be treated as guidelines/a strategy guide, not a strict itinerary. My Magic Plus runs counter to that whole thing and the need for reservations and specific arranged times is getting more absurd.

I'd prefer not to defend Frozen but it's best aspect by far is that it says that true love can be a bond between family and is not necessarily cured by a significant other.

Of course the ride's not over yet what with those Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them movies.

Not to mention J.K.Rowling has been hinting that she will be returning to writing Harry Potter books on twitter

I think Universal/WB/Rowling are going to position Harry Potter to be the big franchise universe to fight Star Wars going forward.

We will all respect whatever decision you decide to make, but I might make one alternative suggestion if you decide to share any additional materials with fans in the future (which I selfishly hope that you do), you can easily create a folder in something like Google Drive and distribute the access information to people on an individual basis. There are plenty of people here that would have zero interest in re-posting your images anywhere, and would be happy to appreciate them in the privacy of their own computers.

Other than the photos that you personally appear in or backstage areas, many of the photos on your site are not much different from photos that any tourist might have taken with a flash on the ride.

At the end of the day, your decision is your decision. Many of us love your "tribute," though, and there are plenty of similar tributes floating around the web. I often watch the youtube videos of the knuckleheads that got off the Horizons ride vehicles and ran around the sets and backstage areas with a video camera whenever I need a good laugh. I'm sure everyone in this forum is familiar with those videos, and I'm sure Disney isn't "happy" about those either. Disney has done plenty of their own "backstage/behind-the-scenes" videos for various television programs. My guess is that the don't like yours because it wasn't done on 'their' terms.

It looks like you are after a different sort of pictures...

Aladdin is about a boy trying to find a wife. And Beauty and the beast is about a girl who finds out she is interested in...well. Either way frozen isn't a bad film, it's just ceo's are badly handling where it should go and why. Don't get me wrong there are a number of films that would make great attractions as well Aladdin, Beauty and the beast, Tangled, Princess and the frog, wreck it ralph, lion king. The only reason most of them don't happen is because well crappy circumstances I suppose.

Can you elaborate further here? I feel this would be a nice new direction of discussion.
They are saying something great. I love frozen I think it's a great film. I hate the fact that's it's going into maelstrom because it doesn't belong in the world showcase. Had they actually put an effort and say built this in fantasyland as a ride or even an additional mini land or something people would have been flipping on all fronts. Sure you'd have your "frozen is crappy aydafsdfkasd" but that would be drown out by a well put area, with a great ride, and the fact that it would be adding to a park and not taking away. But people seem to dumb their argument down to straight blaming/hating the film and it's fans. They are not at fault, crappy management is whether it be staggs or iger. Maelstrom deserves better, Frozen deserves better.

I heard she was planning on making a new generation harry potter series abou the children of our heroes and villains.

If that's true, that would be interesting. Wouldn't it be be a kick of one of Dudley's children turned out to be a wizard, and Dudley had to go to Harry for help and advice? (I think it was a nice touch that Dudley and Harry reconciled in the last books...pity that scene was cut out of the film). And even cooler - wouldn't it be great if Harry's son - the one named after Snape - struck up a semi-friendship with Snape's portrait in the Headmaster's Office at Hogwarts?
