I just saw this on facebook. Anyone else a little shocked (I can't think of an appropriate word) by today's popular baby names? I mean, Maximiliano? Really? Hopefully I'm not offending anyone...

i am confused why some one would name their child axel or iker. i guess the first one's parents must be huge guns and roses fans. i don't have the slightest idea for iker lol. also isn't rex ment for the king of carnival and dogs.....

I think axel would be a cute little boys name....when they get older...probably not so much. :P

I have a friend named Axel who turned 40 on Monday. It must be a common name in Germany. I don't know where Iker comes from - misspelling Iger maybe?

I looked up popular baby names when my daughter was born, and it struck me then how many names on the list matched Melrose Place characters.

But the real news of this thread: are you planning on little Vitanis then? :)

Any buns in the oven yet, or are you just shopping for options?

lol! Neither! It was posted on the Walt Disney World facebook page, I think. It was in my news feed, at any rate. No little Vitanis yet! ;)

Gosh, so many people name their babies after television characters.

"Mommie, why did you name me Dexter?"
"Son, you see.. there was a show about a serial killer who only killed bad people.."

we did consider Axe. It means "father of peace" Old Germanic name. We went with an old Nordic name instead.
