Your right. I have the meeting bookmarked and made a mistake and called it quarterly not b.c annual. I have so many calls I listen to.
Well, it might not be Q2 earnings call, but they did said the deal was gonna close in 10 days. So there's a chance they might announce the deal is officially closed and done.

None of Seth's TV series are anywhere near "critically acclaimed." On Metacritic...

Bob's Burgers: 54
Family Guy: 53
American Dad: 41
The Orville: 36

For comparison:
The Simpsons: 80
Futurama: 72
You forgot King of the Hill.
Not that it matters, but I don't think McFarland had anything to do with King of the Hill or Bob's Burgers. I could be wrong.

Seth has previously stated that he is no longer in any day to day leadership capacity over anything at Family Guy or American Dad although he still provides several voices and produces both shows. He has put most of his effort into running The Orville and into developing new projects.

I have to imagine securing Seth is a top priority for Disney.

After losing so many producers to Netflix, I have to imagine Disney will be aggressive in keeping many of the remaining Producer-Director-Writer powerhouses under the Disney umbrella as possible. JJ, Favreau, Seth, Levitan should all be top priorities.

If they don’t secure 2-3 of those 5 they will look weak.

At least 2-3 of those plus Feige. Not sure why people keep forgetting Feige. If I were ATT I would come in with trucks full of money to try to lure him.

That said, I think Disney will certainly resign Feige, JJ, Favreau, Seth.

Good Point, I forgot Feige is up for renewal this year. I don't know what Feige is seeing as his future career? Does he plan on being an Executive and Producer or just a Producer? Does he look to replace Horn with an eventual eye toward the Disney CEO job or does he go from studio to studio making movies?

I agree. I think he'll renew his contract for another 5-7 years. Without him, there wouldn't be a MCU. I wonder if he'll stick around up to the MCU's 20th anniversary.

Honestly that is a lot to ask of anyone in their current role. I don't think we can expect Feige to hang on as long as Lassetter did (alleged groping notwithstanding), I would expect him to get another Disney position at some point in the future or move on to another studio.

He is enough of a nerd though, he could be content.

Yeah, but at least he could find someone who can still make the MCU going strong, moving forward even though he might get a Disney promotion in the near future. Every MCU movie is fresh on rotten Tomatoes. I think if the Incredible Hulk Extended Edition was released in cinemas, having the extended scenes included would've fleshed out the plot, history and character development. It also would've made Incredible Hulk certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes. Thor: The Dark World would've had the same thing if Alan Taylor leaned too hard on the romance sub-plot just like Patty Jenkins did. That's why I want every MCU film certified fresh. Iron Man 2 and AOU probably would've been rated a little higher if they included all of Ivan Vanko's character development scenes and the Thor Norm Stones sub-plot.

I think Disney were trying to get him to also look over Lucasfilm if Kennedy did go a while ago but I think it's too big of a role for one person to look after these two collous IPs. I'd rather he stayed at Marvel and continued to steer that ship.

I still wish for Disney to bag JJ Abrams and all of Robot Chicken to exclusively make movies and TV shows for Disney that was teased a while ago. I don't think JJ would want to be tied to Star Wars but maybe a 5 year contract would work?

If the initial appointment of Kathleen Kennedy, who used to be a TV Executive, to leading Lucasfilm is anything to base expectations off of, Iger will just pick any executive he has known for a long time for her replacement.
