Deterioration hole in Pirate of the Caribbean

I think the point trying to be made is that holes like that should be fixed, before they affect the show. Once they affect the show, it's too late, the bad publicity is out there.

A True Explanation

As a current pirate I can tell y'all this... the hole is there from an old IR Camera. They have looked at patching the hole but they will not until the next rehab which is scheduled for two years from now with general housekeeping issues... along with some RUMORED BIG ADDITIONS... maybe I'll say...

Wow, this is ridiculous. 99% of tourists would never notice something such as this, let alone dwell on it in such an intent manner. Seriously, some of you seem addicted to pointing out every slight "flaw" that's encountered.

I wouldn't go so far as to say that :(

BTW last time I was in pirates I noticed that the dog in the jail scene had an eyelash missing. I can't believe standards have dropped so low as to allow something like a missing hair to be viewed by the public. :hammer:

Both iluvstitch and 1disneydood, I laughed out loud on those comments. Funny stuff.

It's just one of those things. I'm not going to say that it doesn't bother me, but I won't get bent out of shape about it... now the ceiling on it's a small world is disgusting.

Lets just say that there MAY be a new show scene in a current backstage area as well as some new characters may be appearing (I hope this one isnt true...). But there's more!

Up tech? YES!

New story or precreated characters? NO!

from what i hear, the ceiling is a major part of the massive upcoming rehab.

One of the MAJOR reasons for the rehab is there is reportedly alot of asbestos in the building which must be removed by current government standards.

This kinda off the topic but another example of this poor maintenance is Splash Mountain. I was there last summer for 35 days and there was a good sized hole in the background in the laughing place scene a little to the left and above the hidden mickey in the clouds. I went back in November and the hole still wasn't fixed. They did eventually fix it because it was fixed in February.

I wouldn't mind seein some new AAs and scenes in POTC. As long as it isnt anything drasticc. I mean I don't want to see Depp and Orlando Bloom running around the ride. Although I wouldn't mind seeing a Keira Knightly AA... :lookaroun
