Desert Palms Inn & Suites (Good Neighbor)

We (5 adults, 2 kids) are going to DL, right now we have a tentative reservation at The Desert Palms Inn & Suites (Good Neighbor), has anyone else stayed, or have reviews?

I love this hotel! I gotten reservation of a basic room, but upon checking in, I was received a kitchen suite.

I plan on staying soon on the 29, and I look forward coming back!

I really like this hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast was really good for a free hotel breakfast but nothing special. My one huge complaint is that the lighting over the bathroom vanity was harsh and unflattering.

To be fair don't all the hotels in the resort district range from meh to scary.

Eh, (not Meh, but Eh), there are some really good family hotels within a few blocks of Disneyland now. Howard Johnson's started the trend ten years ago with their deluxe pool playzone and their fun retro vibe, with 4 Stars on Yelp. https://www.yelp.com/biz/howard-johnson-anaheim-hotel-and-water-playground-anaheim-2

Plus a half dozen or more new corporate mid-range hotels aimed at tourist and families that are at either 4 or 4.5 Stars on Yelp; Homewood Suites, Hotel Indigo, Hyatt Place, DoubleTree Suites, Staybridge Suites, Hyatt House, etc., etc. https://www.yelp.com/search?find_de...ind_loc=Anaheim,+CA,+US&start=0&sortby=rating

Heck, the Grand Californian only has a middling 3.5 Stars on Yelp (No kidding, the service there is sloppy and/or oddly snotty for no good reason!) https://www.yelp.com/biz/disneys-grand-californian-hotel-and-spa-anaheim-2?sort_by=rating_asc

In fact, the other two Disney hotels; Disneyland Hotel and Paradise Pier Hotel, are also only rated at 3.5 Stars.

There's the Desert Inn & Suites (definitely meh) and the Desert Palm Hotel & Suites (never been). Two different properties.
