Been a while since I've posted on here. So long that I believe the last time I posted I would not have been of legal age to ask the following question:

Is there a definitive guide to Drinking Around the World at EPCOT? A solid post that I could read over? Any tips would be greatly appreciated as well!

I don't have a guide (I'm sure you can find one online) but I do have tips! Try to do the rides in the morning and focus on World Showcase after you hit all the rides you wanted to enjoy at EPCOT. Remember to keep drinking water. I can't stress this point enough. Pace yourself, don't be silly and go straight through the countries in an hour. Take some time to check out each pavilion! And take fun photos! Another tip would possibly be sharing drinks. My boyfriend and I ended up sharing drinks because A) it was too expensive for us each and B) 11 countries is intense!

Now the BIGGEST tip of all - Keep in mind there are children everywhere and if you find yourself getting too out of hand, stop yourself, drink more water, sit down and rest, eat lunch and dinner (don't forget this!), and even consider stopping all together. Everyone is on vacation, not just you. ;)

Drink suggestion: The orange creme drink in France (sorry can't remember the actual name!). It's outside at a kiosk and it is absolute delicious!
Have fun!

Grand marnier I think is what you're talking about. Comes in orange or Lemonade
The Grand Marnier is an Orange slushie and the lemonade is made with Grey Goose Vodka. Both are good but the Grand Marnier Slushie is amazing! I could not imagine getting 11 actual drinks around the world. I have two in France, maybe one in Moracco or Italy then a Margarita in Mexico. Be careful, no sense getting sick at the World! Lol

  • Plenty of hydration before hand and during is a key concept. You need to drink sufficient water in the week leading up to your attempt that you're fully hydrated (urine color for every instance should be colorless) and at least a one glass of water per drink you consume. Those awful headaches are caused by your body sucking the water out of your brain so it pulls away from the skull.
  • Pick out drinks that are on the rocks (extra water)
  • Don't mix and match. Not Beer here, wine there, and liquor at another place.
  • Stick to the clearer beverages, for the most part they have fewer congeners.
  • Never too fast, one an hour is a decent pace.
  • No bubbles (increased absorption rate)
  • Eat Carbs and fats, it helps replace those things the alcohol pushs out along with the water.
I dont drink much these days, but I can still do a three liter lunch without staggering :)

Ein Prosit, Ein Prosit, der gemiitlichkeit
Ein Prosit, Ein Prosit, der gemiitlichkeit
(Cheer!) Eins, zwei, Drei g'suffa!
Zicke, zacke, zicke, zacke, hoi, hoi, hoi,
Zicke, zacke, zicke, zacke, hoi, hoi, hoi,
Prosit

My June 2015 trip report has a detailed account of drinking around the world successfully, one drink in each country and photographic evidence to prove it. Use that as your guide and you'll be fine.
;)

Oh yeah. And if our resident prohibitionists discover this thread, it's gonna get real interesting in here real soon.

Methinks young OP could never keep up with you – and neither could I but it could be fun trying LOL.

Awe, it's easy. At the end of the night, your liver will claw its way out of your stomach like Alien and skitter into the lake to try and swim it's way to Constantinople to escape. When it realizes it is in a lake and there is no way out, it will crawl back to you in the early morning hours when you are passed out on the couch, and all will be well in the world.

Remind me the number I call to bring my liver back home? Or, does that London phone booth offer a direct line?
