Are there any specific accommodations for someone using DAS so they can see the fireworks? Could you theoretically book a “fast pass” for the fireworks viewing area like in the old days?

I don’t recall ever seeing or hearing of a DAS viewing area, just the handicapped area for people in wheelcahirs and ECVs that might get their view obstructed because they can’t stand.

Correct with DAS they normally only had DAS if a ride or show has a Lightning Lane option.

The fireworks viewing area is reserved solely for those who book a Fireworks Dining package. If that's not in the budget, there are typically a number of decent viewing spots that can be found just before they start, especially further back.

DAS is really primarily designed for people who have concerns navigating the process of queueing in a traditional line. Fireworks don't have lines or posted wait times to even issue a return time for. There are other services or suggestions that Guest Relations may be able to suggest based on someone's individual needs or concerns. If it is accessibility for a mobility concern, most firework viewing areas are accessible so a designated area isn't required. Even nighttime shows like Fantasmic don't offer DAS because you're not really waiting in a line other than waiting to enter the theater once it opens. Not much different that waiting a the entrance for a park to open.

Even when they had Fastpass viewing areas, I don't think DAS was utilized for fireworks. After all, DAS is not a FP.

If the concern is crowds or other triggers, Guest Relations may be able to make some alternative location suggestions, but part of the nature of the beast is that firework displays do come with crowds and many possible trigger moments depending on the Guest.

No there is no DAS area for fireworks. Some have said that if there is room in the wheelchair area, that the cast member MIGHT let you stand there.
