But for real the last thing I want when I'm eating all I care to enjoy of mediocre fried food off of a steam table in 92 degree weather and 100% humidity is alcohol.

So instead you want a syrupy sugar-laden drink that destroys any hope of your taste buds actually tasting the flavour of the food? Some wines, beers etc have been developed over many years to enhance the flavour of food. As long as most park go-ers are masking flavours with soda syrup, there is no incentive in the parks to provide fresh, tasty, healthy food. Ban soda from the parks and the food might actually improve!

That's a pretty big leap there.

Why?

From the DIS 2015 annual report - "Guest spending growth was primarily due to higher average hotel room rates and ticket prices for sailings at our cruise line as well as theme park admissions and increased merchandise, food and beverage spending."

From the DIS 2016 annual report - "Guest spending growth was driven by higher average ticket prices and room rates and increased food and beverage spending."

From the DIS 2017 annual report - "Guest spending growth was primarily due to higher average ticket prices and food and beverage spending."

Alcohol sales at a table service location where it has not previously been available is an easy way to increase "beverage spending". This is a revenue play, nothing more. It is what it is.

FWIW, I've never eaten at Crystal Palace while at the same time thinking, "I'd really like a Bud Light right now". Of course, I don't usually have those words in my vocabulary... ;)

Right, I guess I don't see the leap from macro lager at Crystal Palace to "unsustainable business model".

It is what it is. Doesn't mean we have to evoke Wall St with every little decision. It gets monotonous and tiring.

Using the sports analogy everyone likes so much; it's like coming here to talk about your teams loss and all you find is people complaining about the owner's financial portfolio performance. Yeah it may be tangentially related to the product on the field, but some folks just want to talk about the game itself.

For example, Disney does a pretty good job around property with diversifying their beer offerings. It's a shame they gone the rather monotonous route here.

Heaven knows I don’t have a problem with alcohol being served at Disney (my wife and I spent over $1000 in drinks alone years ago over 4 days when staying at the BC, the thread is around here somewhere) but this just rubs me the wrong way. Probably because the theme is pretty innocent with Pooh and the other characters. I don’t know, I’d rather have them just keep it to Skipper Canteen and Be Our Guest

Yes
Hohoho, insert man-bun wielding hipster cra(ft) beer complaint and the obligatory diatribe about insulationist children experiences devoid of normal human society.

Yes, they have beer at Legoland. Get over it and move on.

Think for yourselfer
Who even drinks Bud Light on vacation anyways? I don't think I've had a Bud Light since junior year.

Lots of people apparently drink Bud Light.

As for this decision, I was against alcohol in MK, but but unbelievably Disney doesn’t give a....about what I think. Or else they wouldn’t be charging $50+ a person for a buffet.

Furthermore. I plan on being part of the problem here next time I visit and buying a $10 Mimosa. Soooo
