Earl Enterprises, which owns and operates Earl of Sandwich, Chicken Guy! and Planet Hollywood at Disney Springs, has announced that they experienced a breach in their point-of-sale systems, exposing customer credit and debit card information. All three Disney Springs venues were part of the breach. The breach goes back to May 2018, potentially impacting a lot of Walt Disney World visitors.

How do credit card breaches effect customers who use chips or RFID payments systems?

It does not effect those who paid with their magic bands, only credit cards. A major reason I only pay with my magic band.
