The Jumpin’ Jellyfish was a rare breed of enormous jellyfish-like animals that lived off the coast of Paradise Pier, and would attack citizens in the water. Fascinated by their strange movements, a carnival barker decided to try and exploit the hostile animals, using their movement patterns as a reference for an attraction. It was later purchased by a starving artist and modified to resemble its present state.

Before you go on Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, you need to hear the story of how Mr. Toad got his motorcar and driver's license in the first place. It all began one sunny day in the middle of autumn. The leaves were changing color... what's that? You don't know HOW the leaves change color in autumn? Well, here's how they do it...
Be sure to look out for the ALL NEW indoor queue area for MR. Toad's wild ride. Before entering Toad Hall, take a walk through Ye Olde DMV, where you'll notice that the DMV attendants are all asleep. Clever guests will notice Mr. Toad's footprints, and tire tracks!, all around, making it clear that he authorized his own license. Then, go next door into Ye Olde Pharmacy, where some empty bottle will clue you in on the type of stimulants running through Mr. Toad's system, before you walk back into Toad Hall for the wild ride of your life!

Timothy Gray Thunder always knew he was made for something bigger in life, something better.

His father Johnny "Biggs" Thunder, owned a rail road company, Rainbow Ridge Rails incorporated. He always told his son to dream
Big. One day adventurer Alberta Falls created a canal, rerouting the entire water stream for Rainbow Ridge.

This was a dire time for Rainbow Ridge, as the the town's water supply dried up. Business was dwindling, as Alberta Falls' excursions were much faster and cost effective for travelers.

Johnny Thunder perished during this era, and Timothy had lost hope. That is, until he remembered his father's advice to dream big. You see the Batuu Mountains had surrounded much of rainbow ridge, meaning the railway had to be routed at great distances to avoid the mountains, creating longer travel times for travelers.

Johnny Thunder had an idea, it was Lightning (or Thunder) in a bottle. He purchased a supply of explosives from Captain John Layfeyette at the Pirates Landing. With his faithful sidekicks, Richard Possum, Javier The Goat, and Greg the Bat (and family), Johnny and friends dynamited through the mountain, creating a straight through path.

Now, I don't know if you believe in miracles, but Johnny certainly did, and there was a whole river stream found inside the base of the mountain! It turns out it wasn't a river, a pond, or even the ocean, but it was actually the SEA.

Johnny named the company "Big Thunder Mountain Railroad" in honor of both his father's name and his father's aspiration to always dream Big.

Mr. California always dreamed of flying over a chunk of land, but never could figure out the right piece of land let alone how to fly over it. Then one day he met his dream girl, Mrs. Soarin' who had an apostrophe in her name for no real reason. Mrs. Soarin introduces Mr. California to a beautiful chunk of land no one else has found. Mr. California, motivated by the discovery builds a giant weird hanglider thing to fly over it. And thus daily flyovers over this land began and became so popular that locals named it Soarin' over California after the young couple. When the couple were getting old they became worried that no one would take care of the giant metal hanglider things, but then Patrick Warburton poofed into existance and everything became ok the end.

Whipped this Autopia backstory in a few minutes.

Allen Ottoman was born in a small town at the turn of the century. Since he was a young boy, he was interested in the automobile. His hometown, however, wasn’t interested in motor cars, and would rather travel by horse carriage. His parents wanted him to become a horse physician (or maybe work for their family furniture business?).

At the age of 21, he left his town and attended the World Technology Expo, where he met a girl with a similar background and interests, named Yuri Yutopea (she’s of Japanese American descent, not Russian because apparently it’s also a Russian name?). With a few eager inventors, Allen and Yuri helped form “Tomorrowland”, the city of the future.

The two got married, and opened up a family business making motor vehicles for the residents of Tomorrowland. However, guests visiting the city wanted to try out the new and innovated vehicles (particularly those too young to drive). As a result, they created “Autopia” (get it, a portmanteau of their names that isn’t at all clever? HAHA), a paradise for all automobile lovers, young and old.

Thurston Paradise was once a ranking member of S.E.A, but was expelled from the society for his radical notions. Near ruin, after his ideals became a laughingstock, he journeyed to the west coast for a fresh start. His adventures took him across the Grizzly Wolf mountains, famously devoid of wildlife, until one day he finally reached the ocean.

Here he came upon an ailing sourdough and tortilla factory. Both were considered so distasteful, that they couldn't give away their wares! As Paradise came upon the scene he saw the sad owners through a tiny window. They were locking up their warehouse for the last time. Paradise asked them what had happened here, but they were almost too despondent to speak. The owner took his hand, looked him in the eye and uttered one fateful word: "Maseca!"

Paradise realized that the area was in need of inspiration, so, with the last of his fortune he bought the rest of the bay. Almost immediately he began work on an amusement pier. There was little money left, but putting his mind to work he came up with innovative ways to accomplish his dream. Steel was salvaged from the nearby wreck of the S.S. Rustworthy, and Thurston decided that spending on aesthetics was impractical.

Across the bay, however, a major burger chain restaurant looked on with jealous eyes. The people had lived with the burger chain because it brought hungry folk to the area. Now everyone was focused on the amusement park, but the greedy chain restaurant wouldn't sell. Once again, Paradise had to put his unique mind to work. He had to come up with something that would make people forget all about hamburgers. Late into the night he stared across the water, thinking and thinking. Then, the tortilla man's words came back to him; he knew what to do! He stayed up all night working on his savory invention. When he debuted it to the public, the world was forever changed, and that is the story of Lobster Nachos.

Tim Horn was an expedition leader with an anger problem. He lead tourists through a treacherous snow filled mountain his whole life.

One day a monster appeared on the mountain. Tim got angrier and angrier as this monster scared off his customers. In fact he got madder.

One day Gregory Thschtivoskyvsberg visited the site, he was a member of SEA. When he explained his backstory and the history of SEA to Tim Horn, he got even MADDER!

Tim Horn screamed so loud that you can still hear his screams echoing throughout the mountain to this day. Mad Tim lost his livelihood after they built a bobsled course into the mountain, and he passed away shortly after, but they named it the Madder Horn in his honor.

The screams and the monster allegedly are still heard to this very day.

Charlotte Web knew that one day she would become something. As a minority business owner, Ms Web ran her science businesses and classes out of a small office building in a local office park.

As her web of clients grew more and more Mrs Web bought up the entire park and built secret tunnels between the buildings to allow her a quicker pathway.

Her aunt became a transgender man, so she called him Aunt Man. Aunt Man built pym test kitchen to share her latest recipes.

Mrs Web operated the three buildings until Donald Stark (father of Tony Stark) bought them from her. Her legacy of research is continued on by the stark foundation. She is now retired and lives in a cottage by the SEA.
