Counter Service Yuch!

Morning all, Is there a counter service restaurant that you would not go back to even if you were starving?many years ago we had a meal at PVH in MK. We all looked at each other as we began to eat,nothing tasted right,the pizza,the pasta.the salad.Maybe it's changed but that experience has us walking right past it.What is your " no way Jose " counter service restaurant?:hurl:

Have to agree. PVH wasn't very pleasant.

ABC Commissary. We tried it a few times and did not enjoy it. I find other counter services in the park to be better. But in ABC's defense, I will say that we haven't eaten there for about two years. Maybe it has improved.

earl of sandwich. I know lots of people rave about how good it is but, it was worse than subway and I hate subway. Maybe it was all the hype but i only ate one meatball on the meatball sub and it was enough. DH had the club and he didn't like his either. Might try it again but I doubt it with the many other options out there that has amazing food.

Table service: Wine and Dine at Hollywood and Vine. Gross. Don't even attempt to eat here. Service sucked and food was horrid.

Agreed - ABC Commissary - not good at all. Burger was all freezer burnt and it was falling apart.

Has to be the worst place to eat. Was a clean place...but food was bad. This was just over 1 year ago. Won't be going back there.

Wow,cannot believe you had a bad experience at EOS.I rate this place so high on my must visit list it's like a tradition each visit.:wave:

I'm so sorry you did not enjoy EOS. It is a must do for our family every trip. I would try and convince you to go one more time but I wouldn't want anyone to try to make me go back to ABC Commissary. :animwink:

EOS is one of our, wife and me, favorites. Actually it’s our first place to eat once we arrive for our vacation.

I felt the same way about Wolfgang Puck Express @ DTD. Had a below so-so meal there over 2 years ago. BUT last year wife and I had a great meal and a great waiter during one of our evening counter services. We hope to go to both EOS and WPE again this May.

i'll vote for ABC commissary, too. limited choices, terrible dining room. really one of the very few places i absolutely won't eat at on property.

one thing regarding the one poster's bad EOS experience: it might have been the fact that your ordered the meatball sub. not saying that EOS' meatball sub isn't good (i had it once and i enjoyed it), but meatballs and sauce are a very personal thing. if you're used to one way of making sauce or meatballs and you get another, i could see how you might not enjoy it. take it from a long islander with italian blood lines.

if you did want to try it out again, i'd recommend the caribbean jerk chicken sandwich or the roast beef sandwich: two of my personal favorites.

Another vote for ABC. Ate there a few years ago (like '97) and the food didn't sit well. Never went back. Don't really have any issues with any other counter service though. Food always tasted fine and went down well otherwise.

ABC Commissary, no doubt. The food's bad and I've never seen it clean.

MK - Pinocchio Village House (Loud, kinda dirty, dont care for the food)

Epcot - Electric Umbrella (I don't care for the food or the atmosphere) , Lotus Blossom Cafe (I have had better Chinese and there isnt much seating)

DHS - ABC Commissary (By far the worst restaurant on property), Pizza Planet (Dingy, cardboard pizza)

DAK - Tamu Tamu (Don't care for the food

Resorts - All Star Cafeterias (Loud, over crowded)

ABC Commissary. Food was just bad.
The only reason I wanted to eat in there was to see all the ALIAS stuff (at the time - I loved me some Alias)

PVH wasn't good either. But the food was at least edible - even though it was not very good. And the selection is super poor.

I have to jump into the pile on for ABC Commisary. I'm not sure if they even serve breakfast anymore, but when they did, it was inedible. I tried to drown my sausage in ketchup and still couldn't eat it. It was vile.

I will agree that the ABC Commissary is one of the worst QS restaurants at WDW.

I will also agree that Hollywood and Vine is, in my option, not worth the money. We will be going back to neither is we can avoid them.

Give me the Chicken and Ribs Combo at Cosmic Ray's any day.
