Counter Service in Epcot

We have all are ADRs and restaurants picked for our May trip but I'm still uncertain about our lunch at Epcot. What are the good counter service options, beside Sunshine Seasons, for a picky child and a mildly adventurous wife?

The Tangierine Cafe in Morocco is really good and their kids menu is burger and chicken nuggets. Sommerfest in Germany is bratwurst, frankfurters and baked mac and cheese. Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie in France has a great mix of sandwiches, pastries, soups and salads. I've never been picky so I can't say these are the best suggestions but all 3 are places I love to eat in Epcot.

Tangierine Cafe is the best counter service restaurant in all of Disney World.
You can't go wrong with either the chicken shawarma or vegetable platters.
They have chicken nuggets for your kid.

Take your food outside to eat if you can.

Like others have mentioned, Tangierine Cafe is a great option. I'll also throw Katsura Grill into the mix, as they have delicious food and excellent seating outside.

Not to gild the lily, but I, too, would recommend Tangierine Café. The Morocco pavilion is one of the most beautiful places in World Showcase, and the shawarma platters are a delicious and fun way to sample the cuisine of another place (but without straying too far from your palate's comfort zone). The kids' menu has standard American fare (burger, chicken nuggets), perfect for a picky child, although my children practically made a meal by "stealing" tabbouleh, chicken and baklava off of my plate!

I'm going to second Les Halles in France! If you don't do lunch there you at least have to try some dessert there This is a do not miss place for us!

i love la cantina de san angel for quick service. i think it caters pretty well to picky eaters and it isn't too spicy or adventurous.

Katsura Grill in Japan is a great spot we like and we have found some great lunch options at the Kringla Bakery at Norway.

Les Halles is great too. When we visited Epcot a few weeks ago, my kids shared a Croque Monsieur - fancy grilled cheese - and a Creme Brulee.

Tangierine Café would get my pick too so I think you picked well. Something for picky or adventurous. Otherwise we love Les Halles in France (bakery) lots of options there and by far our first pick for any CS meal at Epcot.

Les Halles is great too. When we visited Epcot a few weeks ago, my kids shared a Croque Monsieur - fancy grilled cheese - and a Creme Brulee.

Croque Monsieur is my favorite, but it has ham on it and not just a 'fancy grilled cheese" sandwich. I believe at this location the cheese is Gouda and there is a béchamel sauce all broiled together. Make sure it is heated for the best taste. These are really good (not at all like the horrible Croque served at BOG).

They also have a ham & chees croissant that you can have heated as well for about half the cost.

So many options to choose from and from the dates listed in your signature the F&G booths will still be up so if you are having trouble finding a single place to please the family you could always just walk and snack around the World Showcase!

I am going to go off the beaten path a little. All of the above are great recommendations. However, there are more not too far away and worth considering with prices in line with QS meal in a sit down atmosphere.

^^^^^This both are excellent choices Les Hailles does have the "safer" options for the picky

The fish & chips at Yorkshire County in the UK are my favorite. I eat them multiple times a trip (sometimes multiple times a day).

Well Sunshine Seasons is my favorite but I also like Les Halles Boulangerie. The one thing I don't like about Les Halles is that it has always crowded when I've been and have had difficulty finding a table. Last trip, we went to Kringla Bakeri in Norway and l really enjoyed it - plus we could find a table I love that I can get the kjottkake there instead of making a reservation at Akershus. And I loved the troll horn for dessert!
