Disney is permitted to oversell rooms if they have one on property somewhere...so it's possible you could get balanced...

By it's highly unlikely...not only that Disney's policy is sidegrade (unheard of to a hotel operator)...

I think I’m gonna try booking a campsite at Fort Wilderness but not check in until 11 pm. Hopefully, they’ll feel guilty about me having to pitch a tent at such a late hour and “walk” me to Grand Floridian instead.

Think it’ll work?

I suppose it's possible.
It's also just as possible that, if the resort is overbooked, they'll offer better resorts to people who arrive/check-in first.
Or people who are celebrating something.
Or who are just super nice to the people checking them in.
It's a total crap shoot and shouldn't be expected.

Depending on how late I've been working 11pm is often a time I pitch a owowowowowOWOWOWOWOW STOP HITTING ME!
