We are living in a dystopian DIckens novel here in FL....Don't worry, today the government announced they may refuse to pay superintendents and school board members who mandate masking for students. So that should take care of it.
P.S: Texas just requested help from out-of-state healthcare professionals and asked hospitals to postpone all elective surgery. So those hospitals seem to be in some difficulty.
But elsehwere, some hospital stats:
In Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Arkansas, current hospitalization rates are more than double the national rate.
And in Florida, the hospitalization rate is more than triple the national rate. There are more than 65 people hospitalized with Covid-19 for every 100,000 people in Florida, about one out of every 1,500 state residents.
Oh, and also Mississippi is having hospital challenges: The state's health officer, Dr. Thomas Dobbs, said in a tweet Monday that there are no intensive care unit beds available at Level 1, 2 and 3 hospitals.
It's fine...nothing to see here.
