Someone denied people can get COVID at Disney?
Just saw it today when someone posted about the man who visited Disney and died on a plane from possibly Covid. A few came out and said it's not possible.

Its not only that, its that almost everyone wants to believe so bad that people can't get Covid at Disney. Its almost like they want to protect it or something.

Okay I’ve been following since then and no one said it wasn’t possible for someone to get COVID at Disney. That’s a wild overstatement of what was said.

Your asking the wrong questions! Why the heck do so many people want the goverment and by extension "all tax payers" to get free this or that? Health care and education are by faf the most common things mentioned.
The question you should be asking yourself is why is it so expensive to begin with? If you plot tuition costs it really has sky rocketed (similar to disney ticket prices) 🤣🤣

So you want tax payers to pay for the 80k education instead of wondering why its 80k in the first place?
Theres lots of factors but two big ones are.
1. The push for everyone to go to college even if they dont belong there. (This drives up attendance and demand) and well you know supply and demand things. (Schools need to keep growing) (limited slots mean they can ask for more sweet cash from daddy...or your 10 years of debt)
2. The ease and accessibility of student loans...this feeds directly into point one. Its the same economic theory that says if you hand out credit cards....credit card debt will increase. Schools know tjey can charge whatever because by and large you can get loans for whatever. (Thank you goverment!) So we have more college educated people than ever before (this is also why minimum requirements are skyrocketing for careers) BUT it costs more than ever before. If hypothetically lets just throw something at the wall...you could only finance 25% of your tuition on a studen loan and the rest would have to come from else where....i would bet a paycheck costs of tuition would start to tick down...now technically so wouldn't college enrollment period but alas going to college shouldn't dictate ones success in life....your character and moral compass and work ethic should.
100% spot on, especially regarding guaranteed student loans.

I can't get over how some employers (especially in education) are requiring more advanced degrees from their teachers, but the increase in salary isn't proportional to the amount the teachers have to spend to get those degrees/certifications/endorsements. Same with Physical and Occupational Therapy, and I'm sure many other fields. *sigh*

Oh, sorry, I missed that. Seems too ludicrous to be true even for this thread.

That’s why some of us are so frayed...if you go back and look at 9 months and thousands of pages of threads (I’m not gonna...no way...but unfortunately I remember minutia)....every quack Theory, excuse and misdirection was not only stated here...it was adamantly defended into the ground. Most of those peeps are gone now.

In this case...the idea was assured - immediately - that Disney had it all figured out and there’s no way you could get this “filthy” virus in their crystal clean, highly skilled staff parks 🙄

...yeesh. Dust is thicker than blood.

You do Sorin"?
I do and it is one of my favorite rides at Disney, but I have to remind myself all the time that I'm strapped in to a RIDE.

I also did the zipline down Fremont Street in Vegas a few years ago. Took intense peer pressure from 3 people and I nearly backed out. About 1/3 of the way in I was able to enjoy and look around. It was SO COOL! Then I got to the end and there was this little pause before you coasted into the landing bay (or whatever it is called). Hand to God, I thought for a moment I was really stuck and they were going to have to bring the fire department to save me. Not even a second later I started coasting the rest of the way in, but my heart rate didn't slow down much until I was out of that harness! LOL

Slightly back on topic, @Heppenheimer and those with medical backgrounds...

Obviously I know it will be awhile for me to vaccinate, since I am young, and in good health. Don't work in a high risk or medical setting; so that said, how will I know when it's my "turn"? Will my doctor call me? Will they announce that "anyone" can get a vaccine and you no longer have to be prioritized to get it (then i contact whoever and schedule)? Will I get a flyer in the mail? A dog with a banner running through the neighborhood? Will the police and Microsoft employees knock on my door and escort me to the re-education camp- er I mean local CVS?

Sarcasm aside, I am interested to know, because the moment I can, I am taking it :)
Big chains hiring 10s of thousands of workers to vaccinate people:

ok time to distance oneself from spouses. 🤡 I just glad that my wife (we are newlyweds) is also vaccinated even though hers was Moderna and mine was Pfizer. I think the odds of us giving it to one another is very, very low. But for the unvaccinated:

Vertigo occurs when your brain’s proprioception (mainly your semicircular canals in your ear but also proprioceptive nerves all over your body) sensors either disagree with each other and/or your visual input. Your brain can’t make sense of this disconnect (the room starts spinning) and it reads this as you being poisoned (causing a protein spill.). As we age the fluid in our semicircular canals thicken and cause sensations to be delayed and dampened such that our eyes are delivering information faster and different then your ear is which is why kids almost never get Vertigo and it gets more common the older you get.

Hmmmm.....

Meanwhile, in what I'm sure is a completely unrelated issue, there's this:

Who said that? The "narrative" (at least from me) was/is that with the protocols in place you are less likely to be infected at WDW vs. Walmart or a similar place. I don't think anyone has said that it is impossible to be infected at WDW.

Hmmmm.....

It is articles written like this that show clear bias in the media. I don't know one way or another if anything strategic or nefarious was done but the article doesn't stick to reporting facts or even report sources to back up any intent of this "gap."

The opening paragraph is purely sensational and speculative:

"An astonishing pattern has emerged in Florida’s COVID-19 death tally — one that suggests the state manipulated a backlog of unrecorded fatalities, presenting more favorable death counts in the days leading up to the 2020 presidential election."

Using words like "astonishing" injects the reporter's opinion at the very beginning of the article. Then using the word "suggests" shows that the entire article is a speculation. Later on, the article even says, "Thus the state’s intent in manipulating the data remains unclear." Even here, using the word "manipulating" is meant to suggest something nefarious.

The article doesn't even include the total backlogged deaths added upon resumption of posting them. The 7 day rolling average of the daily cases reached its lowest point of the post-summer dip on 10/4. Isn't it an expected result that the 7 day rolling average of actual deaths would happen around 11/6 when it did?

The cases were increasing significantly in this pre-election time period. Wouldn't it have been a good idea to suppress the cases also by limiting testing or something? I would think an extra 2,000 cases a day would lead to a more negative perception than reporting 40 deaths instead of 70.

If the goal of this grand scheme was to influence the election, why wait to start doing it until after early voting and "absentee" voting were already well underway?

It wasn’t you (this time)...but there were nitwit sycophants and pouters (who have mostly fallen silent as the hoaxer team lost) who were mighty “sure”’of themselves about Disney’s “we don’t have dirty people” superpowers that were neither realistic or rational.

Please provide evidence that shows that Florida hasn't been "truthful" with the numbers. You can download all of the raw data for cases and deaths if you want to. Even the attention seeker Ms. Jones' issue was with how the data was presented on the dashboard. She never said the data was hidden. She even made her own dashboard to present it the way she thought it should be presented.

Even Dr. Birx flat out said that China's numbers were BS (using different words) in a press conference a few months ago. Based on what happened in the rest of the world, including countries with very aggressive "mitigation," it is impossible for China's numbers to have been accurate. Is it remotely plausible that even though they dealt with it first before anybody knew anything about the virus, somehow they managed to have less spread and fewer deaths in Wuhan than other countries?

There is no proof. I personally don’t believe it (much). But the reality is that the “leadership” has been so bad (it’s not a opinion...there have been low level scandals leaking out frequently this fall) in the land of grapefruit that it can’t be outright dismissed by many if not most.

That’s a tad sad. The guy is kooksville. They sent guys in tactical gear to talk to a former health employee about number tabulations...

...big chance she was gonna come out blazing like a gang in a Batman movie, huh?? That’s a “thing” now for people that do interviews with cnn and msnbc??

And you picked Birx...who is going to be shunned for drifting too far over the line politically...though I don’t know what she can do while being forced to suffer the worst excuse for an admin since Calvin Coolidge if not Buchanan?

Anybody who thinks there is any place where there are other people and it is impossible to be infected is deluded.

I picked Birx because I remembered her speaking about it. I'm sure if I dug around I could find Fauci saying something similar.

As for the "raid," have you watched the full length body cam video? Not exactly reminiscent of an action movie. https://www.tallahassee.com/story/n...s-raid-florida-fdle-bodycam-video/3885998001/
